Believe me when I say that I'm not even going to defend Rossi's behaviour but I will say this Rossi was aware at this time that people were talking about when he would retire and the fans were also asking the same question so Rossi fans were eager to go to as many races as possible as you don't know when Rossi's last race in your country will be And Rossi is one of if not the main attraction riders on the grid and Rossi being Rossi always loved giving the fans a good show and a Rossi win usually sent most of the crowd home happy And due to either tyre issues or bike malfunction or rider error or all three he lost the race that he could have had a chance of winning (maybe a battle with Marquez would have been the deciding factor of who won) And his actions were more than likely because he was angry with himself and you'd be lying if you said that you've never taken your anger out on someone else even though your actually angry at yourself Does it make his behaviour acceptable...NO Is he a human being with actual human emotions... YES He isn't a robot and I think that sometimes people hold people like Rossi to an unfair standard of etiquette and forget that they get angry or upset

@@onedayiwillmakesomecontent when MotoGP was at Goodwood festival of speed my dad who was there working at the event said he and this guy he works with were talking and part way through the conversation the guy noticed Rossi and shouted "hey mate" Rossi responded something along the lines of "oh hey" then the guys name I don't think Rossi's an arsehole I just think that it's unfortunate that having the level of status he has means he can't be seen acting on anger impulses when he is frustrated in this case I think Rossi's actions were because he'd lost the race when he was so close to winning and he was angry with himself but still chose to ride to his fan stand and acknowledge the fans who most likely only bought tickets to watch him race and maybe Rossi thought he'd let people down Most people would argue that the better response would have been to ignore the person instead of laying your hands upon somebody's person Dunno if this action could be considered to be an assault by Rossi as it may be a case of excessive force on someone who wasn't really posing a threat to Rossi it was just someone who was being an inconvenience
