For the store (in the future), could y’all also make shirts with the “mid 2000’s” MotoIQ logo? In one video Mr. Kojima was wearing a black service shirt with the old MotoIQ logo embroidered on and it looked amazing, well worth whatever price y’all would sell it for. It could make for a cool retro line of merch or something🤷🏾♂️ God bless!

It would be really cool to see you swap an FA24 from the 2nd gen’s into your current FRS project. It would make very similar power without any boost, in fact you with headers and a tune you’d be on par with the power you’re making at 8psi. I’ve seen people put a harrop supercharger on the new twins and make a super solid power band.

I'm driving my GT86 exclusively on the street, not track, and the stiffening of the rear subframe bushings has improved confidence in fast, long Autobahn sweeps a lot. Otherwise my car only got 225/40/18 Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 6 for the summer, camber bolts up front, an alignment (mostly to get 0 toe and make things more symmetrical left to right) and a GrimmSpeed front strut tower brace. After watching this video I'm going to look into those front control arm/chassis braces and a diff brace next, keeping it simple. What are your thoughts on Bilstein B6 OEM replacement shocks for street use? My car must have the early Showa shocks before Toyota switched to Sachs later on.

6hp from fluid damper is crazy. Is it worth it on a K24A2?
@motoiq14 күн бұрын
Interestingly we didn't see any power gain on an EJ but we did notice a huge decrease in vibrations and even how the engine sounded. So for engine life alone I think it is worth it. We use them on our K Series builds but have not done a back to back comparison.
@Beanpapac1514 күн бұрын
@motoiq Interesting, I wonder if it has anything to do with the differences in bore/stroke ratio. If it does then you'd expect an even bigger improvement on an under square engine like the K24. I wish I could afford the dyno time to do a before and after when I upgrade my MR2.
@wrexz14 күн бұрын
Considering how prone the k24 is to vibration, especially if you swap in the type s pump that removes the balance shafts I'd add a fluidampr regardless of hp gains

@motoiq13 күн бұрын
That makes more anti dive.
@grippgoat13 күн бұрын
@motoiq I feel like I'm arguing with God since so much of what I think I know about suspensions I've learned from you. 😊 That said, lowering the front of the arm is going to raise the front suspension's side-view instant center, no? And that is like raising the roll center, which creates jacking forces that make the front dive less under braking, hence more anti-dive? And raising the front of the control arm does the opposite? Am I missing something subtle? Are you using Whiteline opposite terminology?
@motoiq13 күн бұрын
If the arm is flatter the percentage of the distance between the CG and lateral instant center gets smaller so less anti dive.
