I always have to wonder if the guys submitting these videos ever even watch their own video. Justin's Garage annotates his video like he's an innocent bystander who evaded a sudden dangerous, villainous crazy man. When in reality he's doing 60mph in a 35 and attempts to pass a random person in the bike lane. Then he slows down to a stop, rev bombs them, swerves back and forth, drives 10-15 under the speed limit, then stares them down in an attempt to antagonize them. If I see your video and you "have to pass the dangerous person to save your life" I immediately know you're an idiot and the pass wasn't about saving shit but stroking your peen and showing the other person up. Makes no sense to ever put a "dangerous" vehicle behind you

I Think the problem with cars riding past bikers in their lanes is, when a car sees a biker in lane 1 or 3, it appears the biker isn't in that lane of travel. And they pass thinking they have the lane to themselves. It's safer for a biker to stay in the center of the lane so the cars know they are actually in a lane

Lane filtering may be legal under a certain speed, but lane splitting like he is at that speed definitely is not. So if you're gonna do it, suck it up and know what happens is on you.

Hey there, California based motorcycle rider here. Lane splitting is 100% legal here. At any speed. There are no stipulations or restrictions on it. However, speed limits still apply, so if you’re speeding you could be found liable in the event of a crash.

I did some research a while ago, and unless it's changed recently, lane splitting in CA is not "legal". It's also not "illegal". I.e there is no specific statute on the books making it legal/illegal. Not sure what the settlement was for the crash at @4:00 because the biker IS at fault with the driver. If you notice, the biker is riding on a lane divider line when the collision happens and the biker picked up speed NOT giving the driver enough opportunity to ensure no one is next to his car.
