OK, you guys aren't noting the difference between knowledge, and muscle memory. Take into account a manual transmission vehicle. You can go up and down the textbook. Know everything there is to know about the clutch, switching gears, Rev matching, and there's still going to be that lag period of, "idk wtf I'm doing". Apply that to braking, and counter-steering situations, and it's really not all that hard to understand. You can argue they could've tried to learn it better, but when adrenaline, and panic sets in, experience trumps knowledge. From that first slide, or crash, you bet your ass we all learn from it. Quit with the "He made a mistake, so I'm gonna point out how much he sucks". It's not very becoming of the motorcycle community. Let alone yourself.
@upsidedownbikelife3 жыл бұрын
@@andrewdaley1471 man I m riding for 6 years now you will never be able to master every single situations all I am talking about is that it is in fact sad to see people on this channel squidding around, passing cars/lane splitting doing 120mph wheeling racing and so on and so forth and then they freaking crash while doing it. People riding 1000ccm motorcycles on canyon roads while not even having a clue how to corner and staying in their own fucking lane. And then they have the odasity to cry about car drivers and other road participants. It s just sad. I could go on and on but it s no use.
@andrewdaley14713 жыл бұрын
@@upsidedownbikelife Well, those aren't the issues I was addressing, so I'm with you 100% on that. I was referring to the first comment about people not learning how to brake or steer. Sometimes crashes just happen from inexperience. Hence why it's smarter to start at a lower CC. (And make sure you know the difference in cc to power on sport and cruiser bikes) a 750 cc cruiser is a decent starting point on a cruiser with many under that. If you're starting on a 600+ sport bike, I smell burned plastic, and oil.

You come up on them in matter of seconds, like you look in your mirror real fast, do not see anyone coming up lane splitting (the car behind you may be wider than their's so they cant see fully) then look forward again bc they are on the highway and dont rearend someone then all of a sudden there is a motorcycle pissed off at you even if you did everything right. I don't understand some of these people who ride around - already angry - looking for reasons to get even more angry - as a result of other drivers either being human, and making dumb mistakes, or because they honestly did not see the bike (because we are not as big-and-visible as cars/trucks). Quite frankly, you have to ride with an acceptance of the fact we simply are NOT visible to them most of the time - and must therefore be defensive to protect ourselves - but not become offensive and antagonistic to other drivers who will sometimes do dumb things. They don't see us as easily as we can see them. Therefore don't lose your mind when this happens. And please stop all this lane-splitting crap - only to then get all angry when you get cut off because someone drifts (in their own lane), or makes a lane-change - because, once again - they do NOT see a motorcycle !!! It is dangerous enough riding out there already - and lane-splitting just increases your odds of getting into an accident. Let's enjoy ourselves - safely.
