@@TheOriginalEL It shouldn't be their responsibility to account for someone speeding. It is the driver's responsibility to keep control of their vehicle at all times so even if they were intentionally cutting him off, the accident would have been without a doubt the bike's fault. It's not the responsibility of others to account for anyone else's rampant stupidity. If some jackass wants to speed or ride a wheelie and permanently mangle himself on the passenger side of my vehicle while I'm trying to leave for work, that's 1 million percent on them and I would skip all the way to the bank with their insurance payout. Bikers have a bad reputation as it is. They don't need peckerweeds like this further muddling the waters.

I mean, as a new biker myself (1 year and about 4K km) my first reaction would be to hit the brakes (and not the horn as this guy did) as soon as I saw the car moving and way before getting into my lane (I’m always looking at the car tire’s direction, especially when I know I’m not on their mirrors). Hard to see from that angle, but looks like it was a 1 finger break as well... definitely not enough pressure for that situation. Surely the Karen was in the wrong and the GoPro makes thing looks further away, but idk looks like it could’ve ended with no collision, especially when his speed was under 40 mph. Just my opinion :P

#1 0:13 Two questions: 1. What is the speed limit? 2. How fast was the motorcycle traveling? Question 1 - We don't have that info, but since it is a residential area, one would assume anywhere from 25-35 mph. That's purely speculation, but I seriously doubt highway speed. Question 2 - At the very beginning of this clip, you can easily determine that the bike traveled, conservatively, at least ten sections of fence in one second. Fence sections are commonly eight feet in length which is what these appear to be just looking at them. If correct, this means he is traveling about 80 feet/second which is 54.5 MPH. Furthermore, the van began its turn at 0:16, and the motorcycle slowed to a stop at 0:21, or five seconds later. Even if the motorcycle was going as slow as 25 MPH, which clearly does not seem to be the case, he would have been 184 feet from the van, or about 18.5 car lengths. Plenty of time to stop and avoid "being killed" if going 25 MPH. If indeed the speed limit is what is typical of a residential street, then traveling nearly 55 MPH would help to explain why the van driver probably thought he had plenty of time to turn based on how far the motorcycle was from him. Who is really at fault here? Hard to say without knowing the posted speed limit, but like many other commenters, it seems the MC was probably speeding and overreacted. By the way, did anyone notice at 1:29 when he drove away you could read the motorcycle's dash and speed limit of zero? As he began to accelerate, it was blurred so the speed is no longer readable. Why would that be?? Hmm... How's that for a diagnosis?

My motobros. You must understand and accept one simple fact: on the road you are invisible. You are too small, too fast, too sporadic to be noticed by other drivers. If you’re on the road acting a fool, speeding and cutting in and out of lanes in traffic, you can’t be mad when someone doesn’t read your mind. You’re putting yourself and everyone around you at risk, and giving us safe riders a bad name. There’s a time and place for shenanigans, a busy highway is not one of them. Everytime I get an itch to buy a road bike I watch these videos....and after a few minutes I decide against it. It's mad out there.
@lolly1665413 жыл бұрын
It's actually not that bad. Most of these videos could be avoided if the biker wasn't such a jackass... No need to squish yourself through normal traffic, swerving in and out, accelerating like nuts. I've been riding for 11+ Years, and the amount of close calls I've had can be counted off on one hand.

I wish I recorded my near accident today. I was coming back from a delivery (I work at dominos as a scooter rider but I have a proper bike) and I was going through the parking lot and to avoid two people walking basically in the middle of the road I had to go pretty close to the left, about a foot from the cars parked on the left, and at that time I decided to flick my visor up coz I was only going 20-30km but as I was moving my visor up a ute (pickup for Americans) decided to pull out without looking from the left just ahead of me and coz my hand was up blocking a bit of my left cone of vision so I didn't see it till the last second, I managed to swerve in time to avoid having to fill out an incident report sheet thank god. this is why I love scooters, they tend to be more agile than normal bikes at slow speeds, if I was on my duke I would of hit them for sure. That's it nothing happened after that other than a bit of angry fist waving and a slight heart attack. hope everyone (who celebrates it) had a lovely Anzac day.

@Moto Rukus I'd love to but I'm pretty sure there is a customer privacy policy that doesn't allow me to record while working.

Moto Madness, Just saying, not every videos a winner... however, that intro riff🤘 gets me every time.. Now... To all those; rev-bombing, ‘you’re on camera’ Dbags, riding without gear, pulling rookie moves(on public streets, btw)... all while trying to ‘helmet-splain’ to another Dbag, in a vehicle, with their windows rolled up, how much of a Dbag they are... 😂haha, don’t change a thing.. haha When in doubt, 👊Braaaap it out✊

@Jon Jonson I live in the left lane... Let me guess you're the kind who don't understand why people fly around you when you're doing the speed limit when you're actually putting people's lives in danger by going slower than traffic

90% of these riders should of seen these situations coming. When you ride like an idiot, bad shit tends to happen to you.
