Thanks Michalis, I like the plain tank, I also like the tank pads....I'm torn between the two looks. The pads certainly add a little functionality. The tank is going to be painted over the winter, so I'll probably lose them at that point....

Would denatured alcohol be a good cleaner to use prior to attaching the tank pads? Thanks

I got a pair of tank pads with the same type of 3m tape. But it wouldnt stick at all. So I dont know how to solve that. The tank was cleaned with the provided wipe tissue.

I would send them back to where you bought them...

@@mancavemoto its complicated via ebay and would take a lot of time. So I bought an expensive roll of transfer tape instead.

Great videos, I was wondering why in this video you still have the stock rear fender, I thought you replaced it, what happened?

Moto Buck's yes i swapped it back. The fender on there at the moment is a slightly modified stock one (video coming soon). The country lanes I ride in get pretty crappy this time of year, and this fender offers a little more weather protection than the NRC one. It's a quick easy change between the two. There will be an alternative rear end coming along in the next few weeks too.

Hi Tony, We collected my Wife's brand new Street Twin yesterday and fitted a set of the Motone Union Jack knee pads - after seeing your video a few weeks ago. They look pretty damn good.... I'd also purchased a set of the Passenger Peg Delete blanking plates. How did you fit them? Not sure how to mount the silencers once the pegs are removed. Thanks in advance...

Hi Bigdavezz, the knee pads are great. The blanking plates just replace the bolts that would hold the pegs on. I think i may have covered it in one of the exhaust videos

Hi Tony, Thanks for responding, but the peg delete kit only came with 6mm Allen bolts about 15mm long, nothing else. I'll have a look at your exhaust videos and contact Motone...

Bigdavezz Thinking back, I'm not sure if i did include it in a film. From memory I just used a longer bolt

Hi Tony, I've fitted them tonight.. I had some 6mm studding, cut a couple 35mm lengths, Loctited them into the Motone blanking plates and bolted them through using M6 lock nuts. Now I realise that the silencers have two mounting brackets apiece I'm less worried about using 6mm threaded bar to hold them at the rear most mounting. Keep the vids coming Dude....

Brake clean on the paint!!! No no no no,lol. Use glass cleaner like Windex. Jesus Christ man, lol. Brake clean is not something you spray on a finish, ever.

Brake cleaner on paint with a clear coat is fine, its alcohol based so evaps quickly. You just need to keep it away from anything powder coated. Window cleaner wouldn't touch the adhesive debris

@@mancavemoto , I spilled brake clean on clearcoat once, this is where my fear comes from it turned it all dull and rec the finish. I was so mad at myself.

@@mancavemoto I must also add here in the United States brake clean is not alcohol-based, it's chloride based which will absolutely destroy paint. Nasty shit

Ah right, that might the issue, I thought you might have confused it with Brake Fluid which should go nowhere near paint! Two countries separated by the same language 😂
