Most of the bolts with holes in the middle I think are made so they can shear off under certain circumstances. This is strictly a guess because the bolts that hold the subframe to the frame on my sv1000s were like that and they snapped when I wrecked the bike. Having a hole in it already made it easy for an easy out to back the snapped off bolt out

My 2010 vfr (UK) has a black frame from factory with glory red paint. This is going to look amazing with that much lighter CBR rear end. Really enjoying this build series.

Hi Scott ..... I hope this message finds you and yours all well. You`re killing me man !!!!!!!!!!! LOL . We are still on semi lock down due to Covid 19 ......meaning ONLY essential journeys. You keep going on about how warm it is there 90+ OMG!!!!!!!!!!! LOL . Just so you know it`s 44 here with a chance of rain ..... in the UK what a downer. And to make things worse I had a brand new Aprilia RSV4 1100 FACTORY delivered on the 29th Feb 2020 and I have not done 1 mile on her yet OMG !!!!!!!!!!!! ...........I`m going insane LOL. But thankfully you give me escapism with all your Vlogs and projects - you work so hard man and your attention to detail is commendable . Please keep up the good work THIS WORLD NEEDS YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big fasters are usually hollowed out for Weight savings ...or to try make up for that intense braking system?

This bike is more complex than the last one, but it looks like you got a good plan.

You should do the bike look like with the RCV-213vs

What kind of clip ons were on that bike?

It`s the ABS pump that sat on the left frameside. You will need that for the ABS.
@Rattydo4 жыл бұрын
I was also thinking that
@alexkovacs87904 жыл бұрын
He's going to eliminate his ABS system, so he isn't going to need the pump anymore 😁
@Eesten994 жыл бұрын
Alex Kovacs But why did he bother with the ABS triggerwheel on the rear brakedisc then?

Is the frame stamped with the VIN anywhere? I think it isn't. I want to remove the VIN sticker from my '99, it looks dumb and it's visible even with the fairings on. But I'm concerned about then not having a VIN on it and I don't think it's anywhere else on the bike. Can anyone confirm?
@mickleblade4 жыл бұрын
Hmm, that VIN label is probably designed to destroy itself with heat, would Honda supply a replacement? After seeing the paperwork obviously. There may be legal issues about not having a VIN present.

That is easier to get the top shock bolt out than on my VFR 2001.

I want to remove my linked braking system to! I need all the information I can get. Any recommendations?
@MOTOPILOT63 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure how it might effect the electronics if at all. But mechanically just remove the entire system and replace with standard brake lines. I’m figuring it out as I go. Gather info from vfr discussion rooms

Dope smoking days at the Honda factory. I know man....let's build a frame that looks like a huge aluminum swingarm..... And then shove a motorcycle into that shit.... Yeah man!

Would have it not been better just to have started with a cbr 600? Since that is the direction the bike is heading

They're not a V4 though, I think that is what he's envisioning
@krqkan4 жыл бұрын
That V4 sound and you don't have to fuck around with installing a SSSA on a CBR . Might be a direct bolt on, might need some modifications. Can't say on the Hondas. But I know Ducati makes you work a bit if you want a SSSA on a bike without it. (Eg, Ducati 999)

That’s not environmentally friendly one plastic bag for every section of the bike 🤨🤨 I use one plastic bag period, and then curse and kick everything and blame everyone for not telling me I should use one bag for every section of my dismantling project 😜😜😜😜 I took the front fairing off my Triumph Trophy to install the GPS bracket had 5 bolts left over, got home and realized I forgot to install the charging cable 🤭 took it all apart and only had 1 bolt left, still wonder where it belongs????
