That’s awesome background on those mounts, very cool👍 hey and the Aussie mounts are good🤣 yeah… I’m Aussie 😂 We use the Australian option here due to the what I call (genuine part is way overpriced) I recently removed a Yanmar 2QM15 from one of my boats after the engine bay had been swamped for over a decade, the engine mounts which were obviously new before previous owner abandoned the boat, the mounts are still as new after a clean😉 Good episode man👍👍

I like to make my own mounts. Carve rubber with a Stanley Surform. Cut rubber with a saw. Aluminum carves.

What model YANMAR is that? What do the urethane colors(red, blue, yellow) mean?

My Yanmar is a 4JHE It's a big 4 cylinder non turbo. The colors of urethane represent the different durometers or hardness of the material.
