Motor Swap Complete Single Cab 6.2 LS Swap (Project V6 Revamp) Pt. 5.

We're working on a 2008 Silverado 1500 4.3. Its a single cab short bed. We're gonna do a LS swap. The donor vehicle is a 2007 Yukon Denali AWD with a 6.2. The transmission is a AWD witch will be converted to a 2wd. Recently just dropped it. We did a flip kit from ihc suspension. Also to get better clearance. We did a reklez under bed c notch. Kevin Castillo we just used the same motor mounts off of the donor. Well same mounts but new ones.

Yea pretty much. Just a little bit of wiring in the fuse box but other than that. Pretty good.

You pretty much use everything off the donor vehicle. And it should bolt all Into place.

Could you make a list of everything swapped out man I got a donor tahoe same model as yours , did you need to change fuel lines or anything like that im going to just throw in the stock 5.3 in there to at least have it running in my 08 Sierra

You pretty much need everything off of donor engine wise and inside you need the pedals.

It honestly depends what all you wanna do to it. If you want just the motor swap with out any mods it’s fairly cheap would say probably from 3-4k

It would work with your stock transmission you’ll have a few different mods maybe. But it would work

Miguel 209 it’s definitely a big difference compared to a v6. For being a truck it moves pretty good.

Hey bro by any chance do you know how he made the fuel system work because In the 4.3 uses the fuse box and in the v8 version it uses a fuel pump module to control the pump ???

gm Tech I’m not 100% sure I’m that one buddy. That I know if we didn’t upgrade the fuel pump or anything. Everything is still stock

u need a 6l80 to run the 6.2 u can bolt it on a 4 speed but you wont be able to make it shift.

Yes it will work & shift. Will have to be tuned for added torque. Will work without tune, but to clean shifts up it will need a tune. I just put one in my 2007 nbs z71 with 4l60. Tuned it and it's like it came with it.

jr her we used the stock Silverado drive shaft. All we did was swap out the yoke to use the 6l80 one. Sorry I took long to respond.

GmJc thank you cause I did the same exact built but with a 5.3 the only thing that’s not fitting is the crossmember but I ordered one from the dealer but they told me that it wasn’t gonna fit that I have to cut it or to short but I bought the yoke and everything Ama try it out to see if it fits

@@robertoruiz9401 yeah it passes smog, it's a factory engine some of the new silverados and sierras have 6.2s, adding any mods on the engine like headers ,superchargers and turbos won't pass smog.
