Not to be that guy but in some cases you are riding outside of your ability for the moment. You pulled into a road from a junction on the op side of the road. This is where clutch control is important to land you your wheels where you want them to be i.e pull in the clutch and release to biting point to have more stability on a tight turn. Not saying don't have fun like we all started somewhere on bikes. Just be safe :)

I think you get two types of car/van drivers, there are ones like myself who will move over a bit to let a bike go through and we also use both lanes all the way up to the closure and then merge in turn, then there's the people who move to try to block bikes from filtering and i always imagine they're the same people who straddle the lane markers to try to stop people “jumping the queue” when there's an upcoming lane closure lol

Zx636 bh1, brilliant bike Frist proper bike i owed many years ago there Light,Flickable in the Twisties only thing i would recommend is a brake upgrade as they tend to fad when riding the bike hard..... once you gain more experience and ride it hard through some Twistie lane's your find yourself only needing 2nd&3rd gear and depending on bend sometimes you wouldn't need to drop down a gear as 3rd gear copes well for most bends,, but for those Tight one's drop a gear and jump on them brakes 75% front 25%back with a little bit of Counter Steer and someone on a 1000cc will struggle to keep up with you

I noticed that your brake fluid reservoir is wobbling around. You don't want that getting lose. Should be just one bolt and screw to tighten it up. Ride save. Nice bike. Regarding audio. Itchy Boots mentioned that she has a mic in the helmet which is just plugged in to her GoPro. Her audio sounds good.

There's a mic adapter for gopro's, only issue is that it's a bit chunky. Most get some velcro and put it on the side of your helmet - adapter comes out at 3.5mm so can use whatever mic you want, cheap with a little wind muff on it. PS Lee on a bike scares me 🤣

When you took lessons, did they go through counter steering with you? On a few occasions in the video you didnt get enough lean on so ended running wide. Just be careful bud and practice leaning before you increase speed. Understanding counter steering will help.
@TTRC5 ай бұрын
This counter streering nonsense needs to stop. I've ridden all my life. You can't turn at any speed without "counter steering". It's the basis of any turn on any bike.
@matthewshinn80835 ай бұрын
Understanding it and being more aware of it certainly helps with getting better at cornering. I've ridden for 20+ years and being more aware of it helped me to improve. But you do you..
@TTRC5 ай бұрын
@matthewshinn8083 "but you do you" is a bit personal. Let's not fall out. We are both bikers and would give each other a nod on the road. This countersteering keeps coming up recently. It's not new, but it is part of normal steering and not different from it. We all learned it as kids on push bikes. Countersteering is the start of a turn. You can't steer a bike without countersteering. Once you have this mastered, the principles are the same for push bikes and motorbikes. The principles are also the same for going in a straight line as they are if you are already leaned over in a corner. Countersteering and steering are not two different things. One is part of the other. If you want to improve his riding, then maybe talk about "target vision". It causes more accidents than the mythical "countersteer " dangers. I've been riding bikes for over 40 years. Stay safe. 👍
@ronlysons675026 күн бұрын
@@TTRC 100% in agreement with what you say. Target fixation is the first thing you need to get out of your head. Countersteering is just something you do without even knowing it.

My advice keep an eye on your keep Lee, because the amount of jealous thieving tw@ts is a joke, buy the best motorcycle locks and security you can honestly, if you buy cheap crappy chains the little toe rags will go through them in seconds. So be wary. Have fun and ride safe dude... Best bike I've owned has to be GSXR 1000 K1... My god the sheer acceleration on that, 600's/750's are perfect for the road I find.
