I like this style of day boat, fast, practible, affordable, can be stored in a rack, toilet, outboard engines, and the party trick is the fold down sides, seats 9 people, great video.
@kevindorry24983 жыл бұрын
Just did a sea trial on one in Fort Lauderdale. My general impression is quite good. She is fast. She rides smoothly. She comes with joystick control and I love the fold down sides. Another plus is the cabin. While I wouldn't want to spend more than a night sleeping there, its not bad for a place to get out of bad weather or to spend a night. A few downsides (or items I hope they address) are: The seats are still a bit funky to adjust (could be a bit easier). The hard top does flex a bit at higher speeds but they say they are adding two additional stanchions that will connect to the windscreen to reduce the flexing. Next, I noticed, in turns, there was water ingress toward the aft end of the fold down platforms. This was caused by water hitting the rubrails. Not a big deal as it quickly drained once you came out of the turn. The color is wrapped and not painted. For the price point I can see why they did this. I just don't know the long term viability of vinyl wrapping on boats. Next is the anchor locker. It is VERY deep. I wished they had some sort of hanger for the anchor. Otherwise you may have to reach pretty far down to get it. This is an easy fix though. The last little nit I had was the side glass. I originally thought it was actual glass but if it is, indeed, Perspex (Plexiglass) then you will eventually have to deal with scratches and yellowing. All-in-all, though, it was a great boat for the price. You will not find anything out there on the market that had that many features and good looks for the price. The boat I was on came in at $301K. That price is all-in including tax, delivery etc.. It should be on your short list if you are in the market for boat of this size.

they build these boats in my city in Ełk, of course in Poland, in the region called Masuria. This is the area of the so-called thousand lakes. Recently, the European water scooter championships were held in Ełk, so the company presented its top model and it was possible to sail through it. It looks really good live. Of course, it was a model with two Mercury engines, 300 horses each 😁.

Absolutely love this boat. I am considering exchanging for one but earliest delivery late 2023. I saw this one in Pwllheli and couldn’t help feeling a little disappointed. Great review from all the Marine jurno’s but I was disappointed with the finish. I think great value says it all. It’s a great boat, great looks, great performance but it does feel and look ‘value’ on closer inspection. The finishings aren’t great, sealant looked sloppy in places and the doors, latches and switches all feel really cheap. Some of the metal work had already started to oxidise in places. I also hopped on a GTC and that was similar. The seal on the cabin had failed and the floor was flooded with rain water. If you look inside the anchor locker the fibreglass also looked sloppy with large parts of the resin chipped or flaking. Still love the boat and would honestly still consider buying but felt a little deflated after seeing some of the lack of care. Still a lot of boat for the money, but it’s still a lot of money to part with.

Looks fine in calm conditions, but would like to see a proper test in rough seas. With that bow design I would not like to take this boat out in high waves. Instead of dispersing water, it will probably dive strait into the waves. Design and speed have been prioritised over seaworthiness.

Lovely boat , but needs an L shape seating arrangement. It’s so dorky to sit opposite someone when chilling . sun pads need an elbow or arm to prop yourself when enjoying a beer, so that’s no good either. The corner of an L with your arm on the backrest is best , leg on the seat, beer in the other hand- that’s what you want. You can’t do that on this boat. You just have to sit forwards or backwards like a nerd. Apart from that it’s beautiful

@MotorBoatYachting3 жыл бұрын
Nope, but the same designer
@pistonburner64483 жыл бұрын
Yeah, well, with Saxdor you have to look into the actual situation carefully before making judgments...the small model was severely lacking in passenger capacity (a boat for only three is severely limited), and the price is for a seriously bare bones thing with 'options' not being cheap and a boat you'd want to buy is actually a very different price than advertised. And as for a 'new and exciting brand' it's just the same guy designing who was at XO and Axopar and once again the Polish build it.
@paulnorman82743 жыл бұрын
In general, the whole "cult of the designer" tends to result in ultimately disappointing products. Finland became famous for great boat design the same way the Dutch did: They had, over years/centuries developed a workforce which could build stuff for their designers, what other workforces cold not build as reliably well for theirs. For all complicated end products, it's the quality of the workforce which is the limiting factor. "Designers" are pretty much interchangeable commodities. "Any old moron" can do that. If the Finns have managed to transfer over much of the boatbuilding experience and knowhow in building to the factories and workers in Poland (or perhaps Poland has strong boat building traditions of their own. Didn't Walesa for at a shipbuilder...) that doesn't have to matter. But if not, no amount of self congratulotoary "designers" shopping requirements-docs around the world for lowest bids, will ever result in anything but ultimate disappointment. Time will tell.
