I took the test drive of the Exter, Magnite, Kiger, Tata punch & Citroen, but out of these segment cars I loved Citroen very much that's mainly because of the engine, suspension and comfort.

I owned Citroen C3 NA almost done 10k km.... would like to share few points Mileage in city and Highway around 18-19. Engine is very strong 1.2 ltr. Looks great in real life. Suspension and comfort. Car dimensions and space. Don't expect anything fancy inside very simple and easy to use car.. As per price car is superb

Yup, a bit unstable you are right but kiger had better scores than magnite. In practicality in terms of security both cars even out each other.

I see these three cars as missed opportunity. Kind of sad to see three popular international brands struggling for a place in the Indian car market because they have acquired a cheap brand image. It appears that these foreign brands look at the success of cheap quality maruti cars and they turn their own cars into cheap replicas, hoping that success will come to them in that way. Actually the price range of 10-15 lakhs is the sweet spot as far as monthly sales figures go. If these brands remove all the cheap components in their cars and their cars goes up a segment or two, I am absolutely convinced that they would sell in greater numbers even if their cost also goes up. Whereas presently they are competing in the sub 10 lakhs segment dominated by Maruti, Hyundai and Tata. Obviously everyone is competing with the market leader maruti and are hoping to carve out their own niche in the market. As far as maruti is concerned if you take away the engine and mileage, everything else sucks like poor handling, unsafe, lacklustre suspension, ac and car audio, no stability at higher speeds, rattling doors, discolouring dashboards, etc. They are still selling something that sets them apart from the competition i.e, performance and mileage. Hyundai and Tata have their own shortcomings like the weak Tata engine and lack of safety with the Korean brand. However, they have seemed to figure out a way to still appeal to the buyers by improving on everything that the marutis lacks. Hyundai and Tata give you a premium feel. Not saying they are perfect but sit in their cars and you realise that those are worth the money you spent. However, Citreon, Nissan and Kiger chose the route of cost cutting. Their cars occupy a weird position in the car market where you can neither choose them on performance nor on quality. Hence the struggle. No hate from me though, as a consumer I want as many options I can get. So I only want them to give us better products that is all.

Ctrien C3 already was superb. And now, with the Shine rectifying those "missing" features, it just became unstoppable! And what about C3 Aircross...unbeatable! I'm a Polo owner, and the only vehicle I would consider buying would be C3/C3 Aircross, once I get fed up with Polo (which won't happen anytime soon :P). My vote goes to CITROEN C3 👍 The C3 owner was the most informed and most automotive enthusiast of the lot. He knows the inside out of all 3 vehicles. And some fools perceive this as him being boastful and talkative..heh. The Magnite owner was "placid" (a.k.a. doesn't have much idea about cars) or Kiger owner was "unbiased" and hence their vehicle automatically becomes the best lol wth?? Are you here to test the vehicle and get as much details and see how it compares with the other competitors, or are you here to provide a Conduct Certificate to the owners?? This is the basic Indian mindset. Knowledge always takes backstage to practicality and functionality. Or else we would not have so many Marutis on the road. Take an informed decision. None of these cars are Indian made of which two are French. All 3 have a great history and achieved milestones. But for an Indian citizen for the Indian roads, which gives more safety and stability and puts a smile on your face when you drive? It doesn't matter if the outward appearance of the vehicle looks awesome, but it drives mediocre. What use if you make others say wow, but you don't feel that yourself when you drive?! Of course interior looks and features play an important role in giving the driver a wholesome experience and satisfaction, but that alone doesn't make it a deciding factor, does it? And here too C3 comes up with Shine that gives all those basic creature comforts and features. Here's a company that is willing to listen to reviews and feedbacks and rectify the flaws asap. That is a good sign for me. And they are offering all this at a very aggressive and competitive price point. What more would do you want? Remember, outward appearances may only be skin deep, whether it comes to a woman or a vehicle. So, going by with only that is just plain foolish. If you are going for both looks and quality/functionality, then C3 Aircross blows them all away, under 10 L...the unmistakable undisputed winner!

Main issue with C3 is safety rating...in recent Latin NCAP..it scored 0 stars....unless the Indian one is tested...one should not go for C3
