Battery warranty isn't a big issue with LFP batteries which have more than 3000 cycles till 80% bare minimum. Just savings along after 150k k compared to breeza would be the cost of the car itself! Even if you are out of warranty there is nothing is worry. You can easily drive over 3,00,000km on the LFP battery.

I also own MG Windsor & has run close to 5000KM in one month. Following is the range:- Driver Only : 300~310 Kms.(AC Off), 270~280 Kms. (AC ON). Driver & co driver : 270~280 Kms.(AC Off), 250~260 Kms. (AC ON). 5 People (Full load) : 220~230 Kms.(AC Off), 200~220 Kms. (AC ON). Rest depends upon your driving behavior.

You are getting a much spacious car with far better features in this car as compared to any ICE vehicle at this price range. For a 15L car, you would end up paying approximately 9.5-10L if your car gives 10kmpl and you run it around 1L km. The real world mileage is around 10-11kmpl in cars mostly. When it comes to EV, it would cost you 1-1.5L for 1L km. So cost of ownership automatically reduces in EV. Even the service cost is much less in EV. The resale might be less later on, but that is hypothetical. We don’t know how resale prices would change after 5-10 years depending on Govt policies (eg Diesel cars). But one thing is for sure that the driving experience and comfort will be unparalleled.

Cost of charging for 1L kms is 1.5L only if you charge at home. Chargers outside are charging 3 times more ie cost of driving a diesel car. EVs are beneficial over diesel cars only for city driving. On highways, range of EV decreases and mileage of diesel car increases

@@kartikkailas9123 That is just not true. For external charging, EV would cost you ₹3-3.5 for every km. But that you would use probably 20% of the time. Most of the run is usually within the city. Talking about range, I own BYD Seal Performance and it gives me 500km range easily on highway (travelling on Lucknow-Agra Expressway and Yamuna Expressway) at a speed of 110-120km/h. The claimed range is 580km.

What about safety? MG never sends their vehicles for crash tests and boasts about euroncap results which are done on vehicles built at different locations than India.

@@atindrashukla8312 Check out Gagan Chaudhary’s video on how EuroNCAP works. You’ll understand that a car can receive 5 star only if the test is sponsored. Also, if you’ve ever sat in an MG car, you would never say the same thing again. The build quality is far superior than any Korean car. So build quality, fit and finish of MG is great. No rattling noise and use of soft touch material/wood work at touch points make the customer experience better than Koreans who use hard plastics everywhere.

Perfect for city rides. When you head out, you will find a charger, but then the comfort won't matter because during charging you need to stay out of the car. In a classic mumbai to goa trip, it will need charge twice. Fantastic car but EV does scare me yet. Specially because I travel across states a lot and a lot of times it is hard to find petrol pumps too at some stretches.

The cushioning on the seats reflects that the company has considered this car as a family segment car, not a high speed or high acceleration car. Cause in a period of 10 years if you have a lot of pressure on the seats the cushioning can wear off easily.

Regarding buttons, it's not Indian mindset paji and uncle.😅😅😅 That's called SAFETY. If you do an indept review you would be blown away what all you can to do it using the screen, thank God they didn't give indicators on the screen also. By the way European union is coming up with the new rule to provide physical buttons for all the essential functions. Then please don't flip when the manufacturers start doing it. Uncle's perspective is great but we want to hear the negatives too, how was the temp and range? With those big windows in summer without tinted glasses.

8:30 pricing difference has come down a lot in recent times If you go for tiago CNG then that is 10L and EV model is 11L for LR similarly, for 15L you can get middle variant of windsor which is has more features than creta seltos their base variant of AT model starts at 15L and there is huge gap in space, comfort and features so in reality there is very little price difference now in nexon diesel AMT the cost is 13.5L for creative variant and same for nexon creative EV 45 is 14L so just 50K premium over diesel automatic and nexon 45 can easily get 350km+ range irl

at 16.8 on road, this car is no brainer..punch ev top model itself costs over 15 lacs...I own a punch ev...and cabin space is less..but I am happy with my purchase as evs are practical for city usage with meets requirements 95 percent times..

There is no lifetime warranty on HV battery. It's 15 years (first expiry of ev vehicle registration in RTO mentioned in RC book, renewal of registration will voide battery warrenty) This point only mentioned in owner's manual by MG. Still 15 is more enough compared to 8 year limited warranty.

You will not get any discount on Windsor ev coz it's a newly launched vehicle and the price of the vehicle varies because registration charges is different according to State. I am from West Bengal and here the top model of Windsor is priced at 16,63,238

No one will give you discount because it’s a new car…prices depends on State to State, i stay in Pune, and Windsor on-road price is Rs.16.7Lakhs (including Rs.32000/- accessory pack, which is optional, if you don’t want accessory pack, then Rs.16.4 Lakhs is the price)…and my friend in Hyderabad has booked Windsor, and the on-road price in Hyderabad is Rs.19 Lakhs…😳…there is no subsidy on EVs there…!

90/100: Good product, albeit with TWO FLAWS: Good looks, spacious & taller. It ticks 90% of all expectations of Indians. Two problems: 1st problem is the smaller battery pack which can generate only a 230 km run. A larger battery pack (high range) is ESSENTIALLY required to CATER to long journey commuters. MG must RETHINK soon. Absence of provision of a long range battery will not be good for a family MPV. 2nd is No provision of spare wheel. When Tata Sierra 2025 & KIA Siros get launched, it will be retirement time for MG Windsor unless and otherwise they come up with a long-range battery. Let's see. The sooner MG provides a larger battery pack....the good for MG. Otherwise, it would be approaching the "retirement" stage i.e- Competition will eat up.
