Just want to know before deciding Punch ev, I would like to know what will be total cost of the complete battery set for replacement. Also, after few years, the battery current discharge characteristics will degrade and this could limit the vehicle usage depending on where you want to drive. Please let me know on this. Thanks

See the current cost fo battery is around 7-7 lacs but after 8 years as per the reports and study the battery cost will be 30% of today's cost (i.e.) it would be around 2 lacs. and another thing is battery life is not 8 years it could be much more than that, it could be around 15 years as well. also if lets say after 8 years also it is not necessary that the whole battery t eeds to be replaced, it could be some cells which can be replaced and it wont cost you much that will cost you in some thousand only. your second qustion i can answer in this way, if you have used iphone it shows you battery health, lets say if battery health deteriorated to 90% or say 80% that means you need to charge it more frequently let say today you are charging it after 250kms then at that time you would be charging it after every 200kms thats it, it doesn't mean it is going to affect your car or stops in between. well we have asked all these questions to top management in this visit only during punch ev launch and we have created a video on it as well, i am sure it will going to answer all of your questions in that video as well, well i also tried to answer you in best possible way to the best of my capability. -- Thanks Aman Video Link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnfTgpugmteJd9E

According to me below are some more drawbacks 1. 60:40 split seats 2. Passenger side door sensor 3. Door unlock for driver at once and rest all doors unlock in second time just like maruti. 4. Spare tyre is not offered however it can opted as an accessory as informed by tata showroom. 5. Light color interior theme which is difficult to maintain. 6. Auto up and down driver side glass. It has auto down feature but was not working properly while having test drive. System glitch is there on all tata cars. I experienced parking brake error in test drive vehicle Punch it was in drive mode and parking brake message was being displayed all the time.

For the price rear ac vents and charging port could have been given plus the spare wheel. The rest could have been ignored.

23:25 its not an issue of dial. You have to push the ignition or start stop button once again which will show "ready" written in the display. Please reconfirm this issue. It's not a glitch, It's a safety feature.

Bro, even in my Audi A6, the fan speed will be higher when we start from stand still. According to the atmospheric temperature, since its auto climate control system, the fan might start at high speed. But during night it should not start at higher speed, since the outside temperature is low. I personally guess this might be the reason behind it.

TATA Should combine the lower power motor 80bhp with the higher Battery pack 35kWh to increase the practical range. It will reduce cost also. No need for that much power & torque in city conditions. Customers will like that combination.

16Lakh + is a deal breaker for me. I will buy EV, just for saving purpose - if the initial cost is so high - where is the saving! I will rather choose brezza for 9 lakh and keep filling the petrol tank with interest on the saved money.

Brezza petrol top model is 50k more expensive than Punch EV. Comparing base model of Brezza with Punch EV top is pretty stupid. Punch ev base is 11 lakh. With a mileage difference of 6.5/km, you can literally cover entire difference in less than 2 years.

See, regen is actually a feature which recharge the battery by converting the kinetic energy released during braking (and also when coasting) into electrical energy. there are four level of regen 0,1,2,3 3 beinghighest and 0 means no regen. in simple words if you have set regen level to 3 and when you stop accelerating it applies brakes and stop the car to 0 speed without any jerk and if it is set to 1 or 2 it applies brakes but with minimal force and generates less kinetic energy. sowhile you are driving in a city regen is very useful because you can drive on a single pedal and if you are cruising on a highway then set the regen to 0 because there you don't need much of braking. i hope you able to understand now

Too costly. Tata punch adventure AMT costs less than 900000 on road price whereas tata punch adventure electric costs more than 1500000 i.e. about 600000 extra that too without spare tyre. Kya ise kifayatee kahenge. 600000 cover karne main 8 saal lagenge. Aur tab electric car kee battery kaa issue suru ho sakta. Taxis ke liye theek hai. Unhe chalana bhee kafee parta hai, maintenance bhee kam aur profit bhee jyade. Can b useful in metro city as well but due to jams metro has replaced cars. Can b useful only for leisure and lifestyle travel. Cant decide at all. Also it will get outdated like nexon electric has now get outdated. If battery feauture of punch can b replaced after 8 years in nexon ev old models.

Bahut ghatiya , did the test drive today for the top variant . 80% charge par 160 kms show Kar raha tha. Salesman giving all random thoughts to cover that.. the knob for the drive modes gets stuck.. you have to restart to fix that In 15 lakes this car cannot do justice with the kind of interior they provide.nothing premium inside. No spate wheel . This car can be considered good if the top variant is under 10 lakh.. otherwise this is not worth at all.
