Remember the time stamps are your best friend! You should be jumping to the slow run throughs fairly often so you get the big picture and don't get lost in the measure by measure analysis. Good luck and lmk how it goes!

Great lesson. If you’re having trouble with this one, I recommend learning Railroad Blues. The picking is less complicated and is a great way to nail the ragtime style.

Lets talk about that tuning real quick. Are you sure he is not drop the high E to a D then capo on 2nd fret? To make it easer with the 7th? I could be wrong. But this song to me does not sound like a full drop tune

The song sounds like it's in standard. But Colter always has his guitar tuned down a whole step. He said it's an old guitar and high tension puts too much stress on the wood. Cohen and Cotten also down tune. The strings have a great tactile feel when they're loose. But in this song he has the capo on the 2nd fret and this exactly off sets his tuning so that it simply sounds like standard. I just watched a few live clips and confirmed this. What do you mean by "make it easier with the 7th"?
