I reached the Atlantic Ocean, spent a night on the Atlantic Ocean shore, and rode on the mountainous road with a friend of mine, had a "send trouble" and scratched my bike, rode Nothern Portuguese mountain roads, and headed to Lisbon.
Hi! My name is Dima, I am a Ukrainian living in Portugal. Embark with me on a 1000 km solo journey on an old 88 Twin Cam Harley Davidson Heritage Softail through the stunning landscapes of Northern Portugal.
Experience the thrill of adventures on the motorcycle, discover remote camping spots, and travel through the breathtaking views of Portugal. Join the adventure and immerse yourself in the serenity of untouched places.
In this final part of my 1st travel through Portugal.
I started my 1000 km journey in Lisbon and in the north of Portugal faced the challenging serpentine roads after a long hiatus from riding. It took a while to regain confidence, especially navigating sharp curves and steep inclines. My brakes were overheating from constant use, and my phone used as a navigator struggled to stay cool and functional in the scorching 32°C heat.
After some wrong turns and navigating almost unmarked mountain roads, I finally reached the Dam of Pisoes in the north of Portugal. The ride took me seven hours, including stops to cool my phone and rest. The breathtaking scenery made it all worthwhile.
As the sun sets, I search for a campsite, hoping to find a quiet spot. Despite the rough terrain, my Harley handled it well. Now, I'm ready to set up my tent and rest after a long day.
Follow my journey and experience the thrill of motorcycle travel, the challenges of solo riding, and the beauty of remote destinations.
