That's awesome but how would it withstand on abrasion?

The denim is made with UHMWPE fibers which makes it extremely abrasion resistant. It outperforms Kevlar and leather in abrasion tests

@@mocycle in this video you can see the inflate of the airbag until the legs , on the website are available pants that protect tailbone, hip and thighs but is not the same of this video that is a more complete airbag pants .

Really old school airbag tec. IF it was part of full set of gear with that computer control that would be interesting . As somone whom uses an airbag vest I can tell you that position of the lanyard effects when it goes off . If you fix to the rear then you have to thrown forward or to side . Now in the cash I had it' didn't go off till after I hit the ground . It was better then nothing . Why didn't it go off ? Lanyard was attached to the rear of the bike . You have to separation from you bike for it to work . Computer controlled it well work no matter what . You dont' end up with what happened to me. I also like to set a real study showing that the airbag holding the leg in one position doesn't lead to broken bones due to no flex . I m not trolling it's just bigger companies in the motorcycle airbag industry haven't done this . Why or what studies lead them not to? It's good your trying new stuff . I wish you luck but I want computer controlled airbag tech. I also point out look at hit air and what they ve done to protect the user from the CO2 inflator . it padded so it's does not turn into impact zone . Last thing you want is that hitting a bone etc. Good luck guys .

really appreciate your write up- as a non rider with a son who has ridden for years, your analysis is very much appreciated as I would not have understood the challenges in this design without your excellent write up.

Probably the reason is, if you are a daily commuter, unlike the vest where you can take it off, you have to wear the pants all day at work which covers your whole leg. Its good if its winter, but no one rides in winter, its very hot if you have to wear it all fay in summer unless you bring and change to a normal pants
