I have no idea why I find your channel so entertaining. your wasted on KZbin. just your ramblings. you should be on TV. UK needs a decent presenter on Top Gear.

I am really impressed in the fact that you mention selling the kits etc and what they have but give the details on where to get everything yourself from the shops on the cheap or whatever. These are the best videos ever for the lockdown in the USA.

Hey Mark, loving all the vids. Not sure how many you are doing, but you've missed dessert! Hot tip from a long time hiker - custard powder, powdered milk and some sugar in a zip lock bag. mix with water and cook in a pan. Bit of a pain to clean, but great on a winters night!

That box that Nay made you is fantastic for displaying products in the video. Makes it very easy to see the item in the video.

All of the items you showed is pretty much what I carry in my kit. I have replaced a few items for up to date ,like those new cooking pot and pan sets, the orange box Stove with gas. That is so much quicker than the Military Canteen and nesting cup and stove. I added a Trangia stove to use instead of the solid fuel tabs. Now this gas set up is at least twice as fast and half as heavy. Now that the desert is cooling down some out riding season gets started, I have a few planed videos taking the Harley on some overnight camp outs around here. Great video again Mark. Have a great ride and keep it safe. ONT....o~*o....Ride On....

Hi Mark, Great to see what kit you're using. Re burning your mouth big time on the metal mug; I often use my mug on the stove for a quick cuppa too, so have put a thick lip of silicone on to the rim... being silicone it's heat resistant and works a treat. Cheers Potski

I pack 1 left hand gardening glove so that if Im cooking over a open fire my hand does not get too hot or get burnt. I only take a left hand because that's the hand I use to grab the pot/pan while my right hand works the tongs.

hey Mark, I don't comment as much as I should but thought I'd make the effort for a change to say thanks for the always informative vids. I'd be interested to know where you got the gauze mat flame diffuser from? Re the Aluminium Foil comments below, I was recently at Dundee Beach (West of Darwin) had no alfoil left to cook a fish in the coals. I asked the English backpacker behind the bar at the pub if they had any aluminium Foil or Alfoil as we call it. After they turned the pub kitchen upside down looking for "Alfoil", the polite Pommy backpacker apologized saying that had no Alfoil but she wondered in Tin Foil would do the trick!!! pissed myself laughing for about half an hour. There is still sometimes a funny language problem between us convict descendants and those who sent forebears here a couple of hundred years ago. Keep on Ridin (with Vids in between)

Hi Mark, another good video. Just an idea for wash up. Why not try using a Selleys Wash Up Wiz instead of a dishcloth and scourer. They last forever and don't scratch your non-stick pans. Plus they won't go skanky, like dishcloths, if they're not dried properly. As a bonus, it's one less thing to carry. They are available from Bunnings and Mitre 10. I have been using them for years. www.selleys.com.au/home-cleaning/cloths/wash-up-wiz/

G'day Gary, that's a great question and a simple answer! 1. Cleanup 2. Cooking Temperature control 3. It gets hot in Australia and leaning over a fire cooking is bloody hot work. 4. Wake up in morning lean out of the tent while still in sleeping bag and make coffee. 5. pull up for morning tea in the middle of nowhere (The Never Never, Beyond the Black Stump) pull out ya stove and in 5 mins your drinking coffee. There are times we cook off the open fire too though. Hope this explains it and your question was a fair question to ask :-) Cheers... Mark
