Lone Rock Beach motorcycle camping without an overlanding rig and just an adventure bike as a wind block doesn’t work against wind at Lake Powell. In the high desert dispersed camping beach you’re very exposed to the elements.
We get off road to see some great views all day as we follow the Colorado River north and get into Page, Arizona and then to Lake Powell Lone Rock dispersed beach campground where the day of heavy wind becomes a real problem and the search for a shelter from it begins. Campfire potential is also cut down in these conditions so camp cooking gets limited as well.
