Thanks for your comparison. Really appreciate it. Just to share radar means radio detection and ranging, light detection, its called lidar . 77ghz radar also is the latest technology used by automotive. Good to know that alienrider m2 pro is using it. My worry is whether 2 GB ram is sufficient to use waze gps , have you try using is for long hours.. any slowness detected?

Thanks for the correction, I’m learning a lot about this as I dive into these units. I’m hoping with the IMX 307 camera Alienrider can combine vision and radar for a very robust driver aid system. Unfortunately I have done a long trip yet, but it’s Holy Week here so I’m hoping I can do a long rider this weekend and give it a good test. Thanks for watching!

I worry about the 2gb of ram also but that is really only for the OS of the host unit. Waze will be powered by your mobile device. I went ahead and bought one and am anxious to get it installed. Build quality feel high.

@@radumvaduva my unit has been performing extremely well. Really haven’t got a good rain test yet as rain season is only just starting. But will soon. CarPlay is silky smooth, I don’t use Android Auto.

@@jeremymacklin2928 it’s a well built product. That is a key difference between competitors. But the firmware seems quite efficient and I haven’t been dealing with any lag or performance issues. Let me know your experience with the unit.

Just so you're aware, the Lidar radar system is actually more reliable than the vision based system. Because it uses actual waves/frequency. Vision is simply just vision (what it sees) with fancy calculations involved to get the end result. Basically it comes down to this. Would you rather physical data that's collected (lidar/radar system) OR would you rather calculated data that's collected to get the end result, and which would you rather put your safety into? The answer is obvious...and it should've always been obvious and common sense. Just a FYI.
