One thing I'll add that I will be carrying and I usually carry on different Adventures is a small tarp that's big enough to cover me and the bike. Never know when you'll run into a monsoon rainstorm. And what's worse is having to do a repair in a big rainstorm. So I always pack a tarp with me.

For desert riders. Small sunscreen packet/tube. Also; tweezers or fingernail clippers are a MUST on every ride. Cactus are sneaky and will bite you.

All very good things to have on every ride. I do like the stainless steel zip ties they do a much better job than the plastic ones where heat is involved. Balling wire in nice to have but in twisting it to tighten it has broken on me. A bit of sand papper to help JB weld stick.I also carry a few extra nuts and bolts can come in handy. A 1/2 quart of oil has come in handy more than once. .... You're reviews are very good.

Excellent tutorial on EDC equipment. Most of the riders are solos, got to be self-sufficient, be able to survive any situation that might comes. But very important to me, enjoy the riding every minute. Ciao.

Stuff I found useful to have, and what buddies of mine have carried (and which absolutely saved their bacon at one point): Electrical wire, insulated (preferably silicone insulation because heat resistance, and it cuts more easily). Several lengths of it, each being the length of the entire bike. That way you can replace or bridge any length of wire anywhere on your bike. Wago connectors. Yes I know. But I say: any port in a storm. And you can reopen them and redo the connection if needed. Try that with any crimp connector. Good and sturdy pliers wrench, needlenose pliers and side cutter. A few spare cotter pins (they secure the rear axle nut on my Kawasaki). Wrenches or sockets in 12, 14, 17 and 24 mm (need that for tensioning the chain. Not so much an issue on bikes with a drive shaft ofc). Head lamp. Because you will need both hands, and you can only hold a flashlight in your mouth for so long. Doing that with your phone is completely out. Small can of brake cleaner. A utility knife or a multitool. Spare clutch cable

Another really helpful video We all think we have everything we'll need for maintenance or unplanned events. However, you've provided some new ideas for me and I'm an old fart motorcyclist. One can never stop learning. Right? I think you made another important point: if you're prepared, you just might be able to help someone else along the way! Thank you, sir

Wow! That is a lot of stuff to carry. I ride an R1250RT and before that, two K bikes. Off road to me means driving on a gravel driveway! And being in San Francisco, the majority of roads I ride, are well within civilization so most of these items won't ever be needed (and I probably would rely on AAA a little too much). I am planning a multi day trip out to Kansas City in the fall and I will revisit this video.

Unless I'm going somewhere normal vehicles can't go, I've found that a good breakdown service (usually costs 10$ a month) is a much easier option. Especially if you use vario cases, the amount of things you can bring is already so limited. me and my girlfriends work bags usually already fill up most and I like to leave top case empty to store my helmet.

Take only what you know how to use and can fix on the side of the road. From all the stuff showed here, I would take the zip ties, the JB weld epoxy, cable repair kit and spare tubes. I've changed most of the bolts of my bike, so I need very few wrenches. On the DR350 I'll take in a very small multimeter and a spare glow plug. And that is when I'm gonna go in the forests. On a one day trip I take my wallet and charged phone so I can call in for help if I need to.

I think it's a great idea, could have used it on my last ride. We had to use two water bottles, one for a funnel. Turned the bike upside-down to get fuel for the other bike. Some times you just have to get creative.
