Hey Andrew. Thanks for the email with this thoughtful video. Will try to be as thorough in this response. I ride a 2013 Ktm 1190, I’m 6’2” with 1-2” longer than normal arms. Looking at your prototype my concern is that the rearward offset design will bring the handle bars too far back on the bike. Currently I run the sw-motech 1-1/8” handlebar risers. I purchased them because though the bike felt great seated, when standing I was forced to bend at the waist too much, putting mass forward which was hairy when braking or decelerating. The risers I have put the bars at the right height for standing, but due to the rake of the fork they already bring them back further than I’d like (end up too vertical with no athletic stance). If anything I’d love to see a reverse offset to your design so that compensating for the rake, the bars are in the same relative position front-to-back on the bike (just higher). If that makes sense? Totally understand your reasoning, love the ergo website, and this opinion may be based solely on my position on the T-Rex/Gorilla spectrum. Hope this feedback helps and good luck with the design!

Hi Lone Rider, i have a r1200rs and had 25mm straight risers on it, i wanted a more comfortable riding position and i mounted a pullback raiser (30mm rise and 20mm pullback). After the first testride i feel that the bike is harder to handle in the garage (unstable and almost dropped it when taking the bike off the central stand) and at higher speeds it seems to be harder to countersteer (it felt like a dream with the straight raiser but now it feels less intuitive and smooth and seems to lean into the curve in steps). Did you ever have this feeling? Do you think it might be because the center of gravity or might it be the geometry of the bike that changed that much. I feel there is a slight improvement in the riding position and i have a better placement of the gps/phone holder with this pullback riser setup. Do you think this might be just a temporary thing and i might get used to it after a few km? I don't find anything about pullback risers and their efefect on geometry and handling. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Strong argument against them from a well known trainer in ZA. Have high risers on my 09 GS adv for dirt riding and enjoy the better grip when standing and not on the 2016 ADV

Nice videos.. I´m from Brazil, and I have a CB 500x today, and I want to buy a CB 650R, but I didn´t like the original Handlebar . So I want to know if you have a model of the Handlebar Risers, and If it really makes the bike more confortable, becouse I hated the one original.

I have a Triumph Street Twin 2020. I am 1,64m tall. I feel unconfortable on long rides, because my body must be leaned forward, to be seated in the wider and more confortable part of the seat. Two Motone risers were installed, but the handlebar is stil far from me. After less than one hour I can feel pain in my hands and disconfort in my shoulders. Disconfort and some times pain is what I feel also in my lombar often. With the handlebar risers the cables are in the maximum safe lenght. Is there any solution that allow me to seat more vertically, with the arms slightly bent and relax in any ride? Thank you in advance.

Just a quick notice. I think the top piece of the handlebar riser needs to be thicker and especially for off road riding
@LONERIDERMoto3 жыл бұрын
This is enough meat and will work in extreme cases (I run simulations). But I can increase to give an extra feeling of safety. Will send for independent testing and certification.

@@LONERIDERMoto When I first noticed it was the plastic ones but later in the video, the risers did look thicker. Probably a video issue like see steep grades in videos, while riding.

Please look at the Suzuki GSXS1000GT. I have awful shoulder pain when on long rides. I am ready to sell this bike due to the terrible shoulder pain I get after a few hours of riding. I am 5'11" and have done as much adjustment I can do from the factory. I love the bike on short rides. but long rides it takes days for my shoulders to recover. Seated position, long distance, I think back and up will help. My Duke 790 is back 1'' and the bars are wider, and they are fine. I think a lot of GSXS1000GT riders would be interested.

I have a 2020 Yamaha Fjr es looking to put conventional handlebars on it to replace the Honda Goldwing style bars which would entail I believe making a new top clamp or yoke. What ever you prefer to call it anything you're interested in?

Hello Andrew It would be very useful to have a ‘bike fit app / link ‘ to fill in , then we could buy your products , risers , pegs , seats and suspensions

That 45degree design is already out there and it does have a big drawback. On multiple bike, taking the handlebars back with them will have your handlebar interfere with your tank. I already have such a model and my next one will be for sure a model where the angle is adjustable so I can take them up when off road and bring them back when on the road. (the bike is a BMW GSA 2016) I'm 5`9 with a long back and shorter arms, so risers are mandatory for me

We are not aiming to beat AliExpress prices or aim for that type of customer. Our products are certified safe and legal in country's that requires it. There are just some parts you don't risk your life of injury for saving 20$

No doubt..., I'm glad you are forwarding your Ideas to your customers. But I'd love to have adjustable height handlebar risers with optional forward or backward lean angle. Looking forward your idea 👍
