I know, seeing this just reminds me how much I miss them. The other day it hit me, that for the first time in over 20 years they wont have any sort of Christmas special / event episode out to enjoy at this time of year. The Vietnam special, the utter classic in Iraq as the three not so wise men....the Rainforest, the Scandi Flick etc....I will have to rewatch one of those again...

@@Simon-xc5oy after Zimbabwe I binge watch-ed 19 of the other specials. @Simon-xc5oyАй бұрын
@@stinchjack Yes, it shows the impact they had on so many, as I have read countless comments of people doing the same as you, myself included. I have all the episodes of their Top Gear and Grand Tour on my media PC. And even bought the box sets of all the specials and the challenges. I cant get through a month without watching some of their stuff and its fun watching the very early episodes and watching them slowly develop from reviewing cars, to mucking about and doing more and more crazy stuff. The episode where they cut the roof off a people carrier and turn it into a convertible, was when it first started to register with me, that I was watching something special here, and that it was so much fun and had potential to run and run, and it did. All three of them are on top form and have gelled perfectly in that episode, with May and his comments about attack monkeys are more dangerous than lions. And Hammond is trying to show Clarkson how to take the roof down and how easy it is, and the whole thing ends up looking like a shopping trolley full of scaffolding and Clarkson is on the floor in hysterics about how funny Hammond is and how bad it looks. They had done some funny stuff in the show before this, but I think this was the first one that they really started to push it and it was the start of them doing things like amphibious cars, the Robin three wheeler Space Shuttle and the stretch limos etc....They did it all, they really did.

This had me in stitches, I'm still tearing up. Speaking of 'bitter disappointments', that Guinness, as far as I've been told by a publican, should be a double-pour. The first two-thirds poured then allowed to sit a minute, then the last third to be topped off after. Not sure if it's a cultural thing or not, but the last guy I saw single-pouring a Guinness was accused of sacrilege and summarily dismissed on thie spot. Mind you, it was at an Irish pub.
