Leather is the best. Textiles abrade so much quicker. Textiles are so much cooler to wear.

Leather is best and that’s from experience. I watched a rider’s describe his fall and the pants and jackets need to be snug as sometimes it gets pulled down. Suspenders is great idea Full faced helmet and great gloves Thanks Dan

If only someone made coveralls made with abrasion resistance.. instead they make people buy some dumb 1000$ jacket and 800$ pants that are rated for 100km/h on specific places... Carthart makes a full Cordura winter coveralls for 200$. Better bet than what revit has to offer

My solutions for gear are these - fully leather AAA jacket of whatever style you enjoy. Just make sure it's quality product - KNOX Urbane Pro MK3 for summer riding. It's fully mesh and AA rated and I can wear anything I choose over it and a T-shirt under it. Nothing will beat a good AAA leather jacket though. Don't just buy a leather jacket expecting it to be AAA rated though. You can also find leggings from certain companies that offer armor and abrasion resistance. You can wear shorts over them and still be protected.

For pure commuting where your destination reliably has a place to stash you gear (or you have enough luggage space to fit it), noting beats an Aerostich R3.

I just ask "what's the smallest jacket and pants you have?" And it's probably still too big. I found a jacket the other day that actually fits quite well. Pants are still too big.
