NO bike will ever fire first kick if.... A> you are being watched. B> you are filming yourself kick starting the bike.

My father has a ks 600 too ^^ the thing is if the motor is cold u sholdnt give him any air also its better to first kick the motor 2-3 times before turning it on so that the oil can spread in the motor. greetings from germany ^^

Nice, Had a School Mate whose brother had a 800CC Zundapp back in 1960 we would sneak in out and ride it all over the place, I had a Mustang bike so the Zundapp was a big deal, I looked for years for one to buy and restore.. hard to find in the states.. You did a great job.. Congratulations (ps. brother was in Air force he would have kicked our ass if he knew).

STUNNING piece of motorcycling history! LOVE German bikes! But all I can afford is a Honda CT70 clone minibike! LOL!

Very nice bike Tony, but didn't you made a small mistake..? The lever on the right side of the steering bar is not the ignition but the choke ( Air/fuel mixture) should be closed ( no air)when starting. The lever on the left side is the ignition and should be forward to the driver ( slow electric ignition ) to prevent giving you a nasty kick… Greetz, Jan

Beautiful bike. I'm curious as to how it handles. I've never ridden anything with girder forks.
@MotorClassics6 жыл бұрын
They handle well. Dont forget the forks go up and down but you dont so its comfy. The KS600 was the fastest of all the German WW2 motorcycles at just over 90mph!. It was a masterpiece of engineering except awkward to get on its stand!
