£25k for a GS TE is just taking the p1ss, my 2020 factory lowered 1250GS TE Exclusive was £16,255. Even that Tracer was £17k. No wonder dealers are going to the wall. The 750 Honda looked the sensible choice to me. I used to go pre covid, mainly to meet some mates of a bike forum, but it got steadily worse and more expensive each year, knocking a hole in £50 to get there and get in without any grub. So if I want to look at bikes now I just travel to the dealer(s) involved where you get a far better feel for the bike, rather than it being bolted to the floor, a test ride if you want one and free coffee at many. What's not to like

My sentiments entirely mate. I got a bus pass so train there and back was free sod £18 car park. I’m hoping to ride most of what I looked at in the new year. GSA Automatic £27,775 Thing is mate people are buying them. I’m just a poor pensioner these days my days of big bucks on bikes have well gone As you say what I would call medium range bikes now are £17k paid £15k for my Gs 1250 40 th anniversary edition with 719 extras theee and a half years ago. Got 11k for it last Xmas

@ivanrushtonthelonewolfrides I only get free bus travel, not the train too as I live in Worcestershire and used to go on the train off peak which was still cheaper than the rip off car parking fees. The Tin Tent show is £12 to get in with free parking so I'm afraid Motorcycle live is now dead in the water for me. Who ever decided to ban the ladies needs taking to one side too. They were always very chatty and speaking to them on numerous occasions they all really enjoyed it and the pay was good too. They still have models at eicma in Italy, so seems it's just the woke lot here that's decided to spoil things and deprive those models of earning a few quid.

You couldn’t go round the world on it: at £27k the carnet alone would be a mortgage, ppl forget that.

@@tenbear5 that’s so true mate and the price is unrealistic. I’d imagine huge depreciation at some point I know when I went to trade my GS 1250 for a 1300 I was shocked how little mine was worth apparently as it had 15k miles on it in two and a half years.
