When my wife and I got back into riding we over did it on the packing front. We have widdled down so much on what we bring on multi day trips. So much of the stuff we thought we needed was "what if" stuff. Buy it on the road otherwise no harm no foul. Good video!

Appreciate that feedback. I’m starting to weed through much of the extras. But in truth, when also including camping gear, heated gear and GoPro cams, it can be a bunch! One funny thing on my current trip is water bottle I brought. WHY?! I can (and did) buy drinks as needed. Just stuff like that. What was I thinking?! LOL

I am diabetic and that comes with a lot of extra luggage. I was still able to go on a week long trip even with a rain suit. If you don't have good luggage that fits, I have found harbor freight tool bags work awesome. You can organize them nicely and I was able to fit 5 in my left saddlebag. The small ones are ideal for saddlebags and larger ones fit nicely in the trunk. I can't stress how perfectly these worked for us, and cheap. If a one eye diabetic can do it, so can you lol.

Thanks for the added perspective. You have my curiosity up about HF toobags. I also read somewhere about a guy that needs a CPAP machine. He packed it and all its things on the bike. It never occurred to me the challenges some people endure. And yet, he continues, as do you! And I thought I had it bad to tote around GoPro gear!

@AnywhereRider probably somewhat equivalent. All my supplies fit in a small tool bag and I have to put a cooler on the back seat to keep insulin cool but the cooler saves a ton of money. A bottle of insulin is tiny so I start every day with a grocery store run and fill the rest up with drinks and snacks which keeps me from buying at gas stations

And safe travels to you! I’ll be around much of the week too. Looking forward to my first Bike Week! Should be a great time! Motorcycles all week. And a long ride to bookend the trip, What’s not to love?!
