Nice to see, my dad raced at Fisherman's bend and Phillip island, even held the lap record for a while. And I remember him pointing out ken rumble at a race meeting.

I purchased my 1976 Triumph T140V Bonneville 750 new on January 10th, 1977. I raced every bike that challenged her on Long Island and she won against all of them for 10 consecutive years-that's when I got married so I stopped for a while. I remember the time I raced on a motocross track and won against a kid on a Suzuki RM125C. I remember someone said that I must not like my bike to be racing her in the dirt. Well, I looked at him and said, I love my motorcycle and that's why I race her everywhere on every surface. I still have my Bonneville. These day's I ride my 2015 Harley-Davidson FLHP Road King Police as I have nothing to prove and I like going slow on deserted back roads. I am looking forward to this season, I'm turning 67 this month. Have a great season of riding everyone!

Having grown up on Limey bikes all I can say is that ya picked on easy prey. So no Z1s , no Kawa 500 or 750 triples , 836 kitted Honda Fours. And then ten years? Yeah right , that would put ya up Honda V-Four , GS1100 etcetc era. Not a chance. Oh , I've got a highly modified Bonneville setting here a 73 that actually runs at the 12.30 mark. And a '74 Z1 with nothing but a pipe a Smoothbores that runs 11.80s. A completely stock Bonneville will run mid 13s........maybe.
