Good stuff. And following on, remember that engine braking also works. But it's best avoided during cornering. Though as you said skill level matters, and a skilled rider can manage the variables shifting adds to the mix, during a corner.

Nicely produced but maybe you’re merging track applications with road use a little too much. A tracks grip level is far more linear allowing for trail breaking to be far more beneficial with a lower risk element in order to reduce sector times. Yes it’s fun to push on point to point on the road but I’ve found it’s far safer and rewarding to achieve this through flow state, utilising engine breaking alone. A lot of road craft techniques adopt this method.
