Great video mate. Some of your fellow riders have nailed it, being out and about with others is a great opportunity to meet new people and also acts as a distraction from life obstacles such as work etc. ✌️

I do both Deano, I think of it this way, solo is a open choice journey, you do what when and how you want, group rides is making relationships and having a good laugh with others together, so some rules will apply. 😎

Good video again. But as one guy said about level of concentration riding a bike. Riding in as group presents more and other dangers compared to solo riding, if you don't concentrate on the other rider's and make allowances for them on top of what you have to concentrate on you're putting yourself at risk. Seeing those bikes riding two to a lane even staggered is just a nightmare scenario to me. I occasionally ride with one or two other bikes, I rode to Split with a friend and then went on alone for thousands of KM back to UK. Being with a friend for a week was fun, but the solo week far more satisfying. 600km plus yesterday including 200km+ appauling torrential rain with high side winds, enjoyable but not something I'd want to share with other rider's with obvious concerns about how theyd cope on flooded roads etc.
@FastnCurious2 жыл бұрын
That’s a good and fair point you raise! There’s an strong element of experience required for group riding with that extra level of concentration for sure! Appreciate the feedback as always 👍🔥

@@FastnCurious I've been riding bikes for over 😲 60 years. Licensed on road for 54+ years. You're right about the experience of group riding, but in groups people reaction to and perception of danger differs, and people react differently and there's my issue, I've seen 20 plus bikes go down because one guys reaction time and action was misjudged😥

Yeah I hear you and you have much more experience than anyone I know mate. 👍🔥

As a ride captain we always consider safety of the whole group so routes are planned to minimise any potential accidents. Concentration is a must front back sideways the full 360 on all group rides, We do a buddy ride system on new riders to the group to scope out their ride distance to other riders & safety skills👍

Agree riding with a group is awesome especially if you have been riding for a while with the same people the banter is as much fun as the ride 😎👌
@FastnCurious2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree mate cheers Bert. Hope you’re well mate 👍🔥

Solo or in a group, Harley, Indian or other it doesn't matter as long as you ride.

Bro I ride solo, with my wife (has her own bike), with my son, with small groups (2 couples etc) and in a SMC. It’s all good and all different. One thing I can say about riding in groups….be especially vigilant when it comes to other riders and not knowing their habits, abilities, experience etc. This goes for going for a ride with a group you are new to and the same for when new riders come to your group. Just because someone appears to be a mature adult and may/may not have years of experience, don’t drop your guard. I know ppl that have ridden since teens and are 50+ years of age. I know to stay away from them. Reluctant to do charity rides with the general public for the same reason, no idea who I am riding with Love the vid tho. It’s been a few years since I have been to that Inn.

Very good points raised Darryl and you’re not wrong mate. Always be cautious in group riding and in solo riding as well with the humans in steel cages 👍🔥

I like both, solo and with my mates have not joined a group as yet but have thought about it.

Yeah interesting mate! Well. Might be worth a try it’s really about finding like minded individuals. Some groups may work and others not. Happy riding either way brother 👍🔥

Solo for me or maybe 1 other. I feel unsafe group riding cause I’m not sure of that persons ability. I’m a pretty confident rider and like to play with the speed limits I don’t want others who aren’t so confident to try and keep up and have an accident or cause one. To stressful
@FastnCurious2 жыл бұрын
Fair point you raise like minded but also like-ability riders should ride together I guess too! Cheers 👍🔥

I am on a adventure ride Facebook page so ride off-road with sometimes 10 other riders, the day starts off with us all being strangers and ends with all being mates, but when I ride on my road bike no more than 4 bikes if there’s more I don’t go, ridden too many toy runs to know there are plenty off dickheads out there.

It may be bikers that save the world. Well, at least the next generation. Let's teach the next generation how to ride Haleys and how to be men.

Now that is needed my friend! Teaching the others how to ride and be a man. Be real. Be a man. Ride like it’s oxygen and enjoy each other 👍🔥
