Day 2 of my Motorcycle Road Trip across 6 Scottish islands dawns crisp and clear, as I leave Sealshore Campsite and head off towards the tiny port of Lochranza. Along the way I check out an ancient stone-circle, with a view that's to 'die' for . . .

Henceforth, "Coffee" will mean "Pork pie" unless otherwise indicated. Ashamed to say that I have never tried one but I am bloody well going to make my own! My decision to attempt my first steak and kidney pie was rather scoffed at by my late wife. Pie crust defied her attempts and she assumed the same for me. I probably transgressed all of the rules but the thing was perfect. The crust was not armourplate, the filling savory and tender. I don't think she ever actually forgave me.

Our only negative experience was in Portree. A beautiful small town but literally bus loads of tourists from all over spoiled it. Unfortunately many restaurants there decide not to serve lunch after 2.00PM. (I thought people were desperate for business post C19) causing long lines at few that did. We took the obligatory picture of the colour harbour-side properties (after being elbowed aside by a group from somewhere in Europe) and moved on . Fortunately rest of Scotland while many visitors present was not like this.

Exactly my feeling!!! When following the media, it´s all negative ,horrid and bad. Not in my world,it isn´t! Looking around me , there are great people, helpful and supportive, warm and charitable. That´s why I don´t watch TV .... Important or relevant news always reach me,sooner or later. My world is happier that way

Beautiful video, Kevin. I was much amused to hear a slight Scottish inflection in your speech, just for a few seconds, then the English took over. Looks like you're having the time of your life. I have taken the overnight sleeper train from London to Edinburgh. It was incredibly fun and been to the Borders. The isles are my next venture, esp Skye and Shetland.

Beautiful! If you ever see yourself traveling in USA, consider riding the Pacific Coast Highway through Big Sur in Northern California. Kevin, you are so right about how "the media" promotes fear and negativity, and yet when you turn off "the media" and just go about the world around you and the people along the way... things are far better than portrayed. I noticed that a couple of times you broke briefly into the Scottish brogue ("wee bridge" and "doon t'tha groon")... I'm wondering if being in a location influences the way we speak? Thanks for the tour... thoroughly enjoyable!

I discovered last week that I had actually forgotten how the menu on my TV works because I spend free time watching creators like you. Greetings from GA, USA. Another great video. Beautiful scenery. I did get a few butterflies in my stomach when the gold car you were following pulled into the turnout on the left, thinking they would make a U-turn in front of you. Happened to me years ago, only on the right side. Thankfully I anticipated such an antic and was already braking as they pulled out, thus avoiding a collision. I gave the driver a wave and smile and continued on my way.🙄

I still follow your routes in VR. It gives me a chance to go slow and have a real look at things. I enjoy it, and I appreciate your vlogs for bringing me to these places to explore. For instance, at your campsite, there were what appeared to be jetties going out into the water, which were confusing. Looking at them from above, though, I could see they were natural, and there were lots of them. I went out and had a look at the lighthouse on the small island, and went out to look at the pointy island in the far distance. I went through the Lagg Distillery, which sells some very expensive whiskey, and I like studying the houses and various buildings in the area. It's more akin to walking the routes you travel and having the time to slowly look around when I want to, or speed ahead when there's not much to see. And now, episode three gives me more fun things to explore. Thank you for being my virtual tour guide, Kevin. You're a gem!

It is freaking me out that as you are cruising right along.....a parked vehicle is in your lane of traffic, on a narrow road!!!! What's up with that??

You didn't discover a bakery then. But wonderful scenery. Unfortunately, there isn't a road through the mountains to Lochranza, which the BMW would take effortlessly in its stride.

Indeed 99% of Arran can only be explored on foot or by mountain bike, but on this trip I took every 'adventurous' route I could find along the way. Some gorgeous routes to come. 🙂

Absolutely Superb! I first watched this on TV on July 2nd. Just now getting to comment. Spectacular photography and editing. I particularly appreciated your commentary on how the world and people are not as bad as social and regular media make things out to be. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed at the time and it was comforting to hear your take on things. I never knew how little I knew about how fantastic Scotland is. I'm loving the education. Thank You! While you are doing this, I've been getting my boat fix from Narrowboat Will.

Incredible brother! Just to allay any concerns, when you pulled the visor up coming into the castle you had zero audio issues.(wind noise..etc.etc.) You’ve obviously got yourself a great audio/visual set up.

Oh lord! Disregard that comment. I forgot that you were already back and editing these from the canal. So obviously you were long past needing to know the audio was good. You can laugh because I’m laughing at myself too.
