How much do you skive off the gusset edges? Do you do half thickness or do you try to skive off more than that?

I skive to make bending easier, so it depends on the leather,. In this bag, the leather is very stiff, so I skived almost a half. I make bags, I work with leather, nothing is very precise, leather is adjustable and forgiving. The best thing is to make small experiments
