Whats up everyone! I spent a lot of time making this video, so I hope this helps everyone out! I tried to add some entertainment throughout it, so enjoy!
Here is how to replace your coils and spark plugs in your motorcycle, specifically your Yamaha R6. This is a complete walk trough of the motorcycle coil and spark plugs replacement.

Nice bike - thanks for the video. Just wonder though, do you need to dismantle the air filter chamber or can you not leave it assembled and just remove the whole thing as one piece?

She does this weird thing where ill be riding and all off a sudden the bike sounds like shit, gets super weird and laggy, feels like the throttle doesnt work or theres some fat power loss going on. I think I may need to do this coil pack and plug change.

If you’re having trouble removing the coil packs like I was the secret is to twist them while pulling up at the same time

Nice vid.. The right side of the airbox sitting on bike. Is it possible to get the 2 hoses wrong way round. I'm sure I done it right

If I remember correctly, the hoses are bent specifically for their designated location. So, they wouldn’t want to go in easily the wrong ways

clionash I does not matter, as long you put coils in the correct firing sequence as it was before. The order you do it, I doesn’t matter

These models certainly have some issues with the coils. I've done this job minus about 37 steps. Just remove the two radiator bolts and slide the radiator out of the way. You can then reach the coils and plugs for removal/replacement and save a lot of time!

@Brad Martone Your description is very vague. Could you post a pic? You make it sound as though there is no need to remove the gas tank and air filter box.

Man i just checked my bike in the shop for a stator rectifier problem i was having and i am on the boderline of wether of not i should do the plugs and coils myself or uave my guy do it. But it s may the weathers nice and the downtime when i check her in is at least 2 weeks!. (I live in south philly PA and take my bike to south philly cycles.... Arnie the master mechanic is they best at what he does and very resonable!) I have a few questions that is going to help me decide if this is gonna be a job i do or let Arnie do.... first. U said some of the plugs are hare to get out.... which extention kit did you use to reach them all? And second when you buy the new spark plugs do you have 2 Gap them? And if so where did you find the proper gapping sequences? You are one of the few videos on here that simplified this job down to what it really needs and takes and i appreciate all the extra nonsense being left out! This is why iam asking you.! Lol.... i will definitely take your advice on the coils and plugs and i just put a new k& N filter in when i changed the oil as i used a k& N oil filter and it was buy one getbanother product half off! Not bad Right?? Lol. Anyway please let me know when you get a minute the extentions and gap techniques if any.! Thankyou so much for rreading all my blabber. Lol Brian from South Philly.... I hate having my bike in the shop, that’s why I do whatever I can myself 😂 but sometimes, in order to get the job done right, you have to take it to the shop. Over all, the job isn’t too hard. Just set aside 2-3 hours just Incase there are any hiccups. I would look up the gap sequence on the manual. If you choose to do it yourself, I wish you luck my friend!

I bought this bike and it was running fine. The bike had no fearings, the previous owner stripped the headlights and taillights off to make a bobber and half ass integrated a kc headlight. I replaced spark plugs and coolant and after about a week the headlight kept blowing a fuse ( not the Main) . I cleaned up the wiring and tracked down any grounding issues and I cut back some wiring at the back of the bike which was melted and looked like a turn signal but had the headlight spliced into it.I’m not sure if this caused me to receive no spark. I replaced the old CDI box with a new one checked all the plugs and fuses but I’m still not receiving spark .. I’m not sure if it’s the ignition coils because the bike was staring before but I may have caused a short while trying to correct the wiring. Can anyone please help !!!!!

Remove one of the coils and spark plugs and put it up to the block to see if you are receiving any type of spark, just to make sure. If you aren't getting spark, but you are getting fuel and air, something is going on with the timing. check this out, it may give you some ideas: www.r6-forum.com/threads/00-r6-turns-over-but-no-spark.38102/

Im having similar problem, but now my battery keeps dying & exhaust sounds like somethings clogged in it

First, check the voltages, see if the stator is giving a charge. Meter is about $15. If it is, then you battery might be going bad. Band battery can make a bike sound can make it act very abnormal. If the sound is still odd, I’d recommend taking the exhaust out and make sure there isn’t anything crazy in there.
