Repairing a motorcycle tire using a plugging kit with tire inflator and CO2 canisters. These kits are designed for tubeless tires and are generally used as emergency and temporary puncture repairs to get you home or to a tire shop to have the tire inspected and/or patched internally. Those co2 tire fillers have saved me so many times, although you should deflate the co2 and fill with regular air asap. Don't want to leave the co2 gas in your tire

I didn't know the co2 cannisters came threaded. I guess I'll have to be careful what I buy.

What is the co2 purpose?

It's just for inflating the tire. Co2 is used as it's cheaper and compresses easier than air.
