So they both obviously work. I know the sticky strip does as it the one I've used several times. So for me it's the sticky strip. Simpler and quicker for the same result.

The rope plug has fibers that blend into the tire with heat, the plug has no fibers just solid rubber that doesn't blend in.

As a former mountain bike rider, and the experience of finding a once used glue tube that is always dry the second time I need it, I went for the mushroom plug for my motorcycles. Worked every time and rode those tires to replacement. Mushroom plugs have my vote. But, hmmm, those sidewall tears, wellllll? Luck has kept me safe there.

The sticky strip is a tried and true repair that has been around for more than 40 years it has never failed me after the car drives a mile or so you won't even see it. less tools to lose everyone has the strip in stock.

I’ve got both and tried them on an old tyre , i dont like the mushroom plug has no glue , its quite easy to push it back into the tyre especially when the tyre is well worn and thin ,its also more bulky and heavy to carry on a motorcycle . You can double up the string or use a different size to suit the hole with the plug strip .

Десятки раз делал. Ни разу не подвело. Вставлять проще нанакачанном колесе. Передние не снимаю, достаточно вывернуть для удобства.

what i do after using the plug, i inflate the tire with fix-a-plat spray can for an extra layer of durability.

One small stone asphalt hit the point on the mushroom plug and it will insert into the tyre.😂

Really over-complicated and REALLY dumb. Over-engineering at its finest.

Instead of destroying a new tire, you could remove the tire from the wheel. Then you could show the plug from inside the tire. Good demo though!

The sticky strip seems less complicated and quicker, I'm an ex tyre fitter,so I'm used to removing the tyre to work on punctures. But I've recently purchased a" sticky kit "for emergencies.
