This video showed the first place that I would visit which is the coffee shop :) The buildings clearly have a Portuguese influence but seem to lack tiles which seem to be everywhere in Portugal. Looking forward to seeing the beaches that many people rave about. I bet they are not as good as the beaches you saw on the NC500 but you would not need a wetsuit to go for a dip.

Never before have we been so happy to find a coffee shop!! Yeah you are right not enough tiles lol but the colours and balconies really did remind us of Lisbon. Hi Sean and Emily, another enjoyable video, I think you picked a good cafe for a coffee and bite to eat, it looks like a lot of places out there like cash only, does that include the local people have to pay by cash or just visitors from other countries? . Look forward to the next video, Best wishes from Roy in England 😊.
@SeanandEmily18 күн бұрын
Hi Roy, thanks very much -always nice to hear you enjoyed the video. This Cafe was fantastic - might actually go down in the top 10 coffees of all time 😊 The local people use an electronic payment system on their phones (UPI) but foreigners need to link this with their passport to enable the use of a foreign bank and there are only certain places that can do this (like at the airport), as we didn't know about it until our credit cards were declined we have had to withdraw cash instead (fortunately our bank cards work here). The larger hotels do have separate card readers for foreign cards so it is possible just not very common. Thanks Roy, next one out this afternoon 😎👍

At first, it is not easy to ride a motorbike in India. I started fifteen years ago by renting Honda Heros without brakes and with slick tires in Goa. But I learned a few things: First of all, in India as elsewhere, the only protection for the motorcyclist is constant attention. Second, you should absolutely avoid riding at night. However, it is not as dangerous as many people imagine because the average speed is much lower than in Europe, for example. And with a little practice, it is a lot of fun, and allows you to see the country much better. I particularly remember my best experience. It was on a RE Bullet 500 between Kochi and Trivandrum in Kerala, passing through small roads with very little traffic along the coast.Happy riding
@SeanandEmily4 күн бұрын
True that! There’s not a moment one can switch off -100% attention needed. It is indeed a lot of fun, however there’s lots of new cars and vehicles with high top speeds doing crazy overtaking manoeuvres and pushing their way through traffic which is accounting for high accident rates. Sounds like you had a great time and some fantastic rides 😎💪🏻

Congratulations for recording this nice video on city of my birth, the princess of Asia , the 8 th richest town in India, a heritage city modeled after Lisbon and capital of Goa since AD 1843. The sunrise, sunset, moon rise , moon set seen from the city are breathtaking with a 8 km long exquisite waterfront, 4 kms public beach from Campo de Manuel or Campal to Caranzalem. Well done to capture the dynamic visual essence of city which is paying a heavy price due to ongoing Smarts City development works. Panaji is a city of intellectuals, poets, painters, photographers, writers, singers, dancers, footballers et al. You need to visit Krishnadas Shyama State Central library, Kala Akademy, Institute Menezes Braganza, Goa archives , Corporation market, 18 th June road popular with tourists, the Mahavir and Garcia de Orta garden, the beautiful Dnyansetu on Ourem creek and Yogasetu on Santa Inez creek and not to miss renovated Dona Paula

India is divided into three parts A B C. A section is like 30% of india and mostly extreme south and extreme north where as section B is like 40% and one of the part of it is goa and now comes the section C which is like 30% and mostly the centre part of india like the ones you guys were experiencing from past few days. I would prefer you to wobble between A and B for a better experience.

We only had 3 weeks spare so as the far north was coming into winter we felt a short tour of the south was the best use of the time and season 😎👍🏻

Sorry to say but my father and younger brother took a 3 day stay over in London on their way back from Ottawa...and while they were taking pics of Buckingham palace their bag containing sunglasses perfumes and a camera was stolen...so things happen every where you can't just blame a particular country
@SeanandEmily18 күн бұрын
It is unfortunate but definitely happens everywhere, hopefully, they didn’t lose anything too valuable 🙏 On a side note at what point did we say this only happens here? -as regular traveler’s we would NEVER make such a statement.

I will tell you about 3 under-rated phenomenon of 2020s. 1) Thai Dramas called Lakorns: I have seen Gifted, Girl from Nowhere, Love Destiny, I Need Romance, Dr Climax, Voice etc etc. 2) Kerala film Industry called Mollywood: I have seen more than 150 films with ratings above 7.5. Recently I saw an interview of Khalid Al Ameri with Nazriya Nazim and Basil Joseph for their film Sookshmadarshini. I have seen movies of Nazim like Bangalore Days and Basil Joseph like Jaya Jaya he and Pookalam. Then I also saw an LGBTQ Malayalam Drama called Kaathal The Core with Mammootty. 3) Mizoram Music Industry: Their music is like 1970s USA music. In 2024 my top 5 songs are the following: 1) The Radio: Hellai Lungrun 2) Ngura: Ran Ngo 3) Lilac and Jacks: Zarkawt Pheiah 4) K Hminga and Sangtei Khuptong: Hmangaihna Kawrang 5) Ruth Tochhawang and Asanga Project: Thlaler Rose Par. These 5 songs will be greater than all the international hits of 2024.

@SeanandEmily18 күн бұрын
Understandable, they need to make the UPI setup process for foreigners easier and maybe let us know before we leave the airport

@SeanandEmily That's true as of now for UPI One world(UPI for foreigners) can be set-uped at airport with KYC
@user-vr6px2wz3d4 күн бұрын
Sorry about the card issue, you shouldn’t have to go through this bs. UPI is one of the greatest Indian modern inventions, the government needs to advertise it better for arrivals and ease the process for tourists. Even a begger accepts UPI payment nowadays, your life in India would have been so much easier

@SeanandEmily Generally foreign cards are not accepted at smaller places as bank charges per transaction are very high. Also Rupay cards are mainly used in India. It's brought by the govt. Visa and Mastercard are on 2nd and 3rd place. People prefer Rupay as it can be used for UPI payments also. But at a tourist place like Goa govt should think about something abt the card issue. Or at least they can simplify the UPI setup process for foreigners.

I’m wandering, can foreigners use UPI ?
@SeanandEmily17 күн бұрын
Yes they can but it’s a bit more complicated to set up, we have to show our passports at an authorised location to link a foreign back account -we could have done this upon arrival at the airport however we presumed visa/MasterCard/Apple Pay would work and we had never heard about UPI.
