Aaron's clip at 5:02 is incredibly moving. Even through great adversity, he demonstrates life is worth living - That a broken man can become whole again. Just because life is different than you wanted or imagined doesn't mean it can't be grand. Thanks for the lesson Aaron. I'll carry it with me forever. Keep smiling.

Awesome, we're happy to hear that!! You could take 5 days or 5 weeks, it just depends on how much you want to stop and see. Either way, that is a great ride, and 5 days shouldn't be a problem 👍

That stretch of road between Lover's Point and Asilomar in PG epic. Didn't appreciate it as much as I should have growing up there. I lived on Crocker for a while, so we were almost neighbors. 😉 Curious why Aaron went to Carmel High when he lived in PG. Ateast that's what I thought I heard. Interesting fact, we don't call Highway 1 "PCH" up here. That's more of a SoCal thing. Really cool to see the run from Monterey to PG to Carmel to Big Sur highlighted here. I've done that same ride many many times and it still amazed me. Next time, stop at Nepenthe for lunch. The views are spectacular. Thanks for sharing!

It sure is epic out there. It sounds like Aaron lived in a few different areas during his time up north, the Pagoda house being one of his childhood homes for a period of time. We had a ton of footage for this day of the trip, so we ended up splitting it into 2 videos. You'll see the lunch stop and ride out to Cambria after this one 🙌 Thanks for watching, Sandman!

I lived in PG from 1957 to, well 46 years later. My parents were co owners of The Outrigger Restaurant on Cannery Row a restaurant in New Monterey and another in Carmel. Maybe Aaron lived in PB.. many of those kids went to school in Carmel. Correct Hiway 1 is Hiway 1 .. not PCH. Nepenthe is nothing like it was pre 1968 when the Hippies invaded. They are pretentious and grossly overpriced. I sold my share of a house 50 ft from Asilomar entrance.. my brother still lives there. Sold my house 818 Congress ... Class of 64.. no other year like it. I co founded the Monterey Bay European Motorcycle Club in 1982 with long time friend Jim Brewer. RIP. Bixby Bridge 7:00 Am Nov 12 1982. RIP Glenn Gregory Hildreth. There are Motorcycles ( I have owned 53) and there are Harleys.

@@jeffhildreth9244 That's really cool, Jeff! Knowing PG the way I do, there's no way our paths didn't cross on multiple occasions considering the years you lived there. On my mother's side, my Grandpa Lee owned the 76 gas station on Forest Hill. I'm sure you know our family. I have to say, the Outrigger was always one of my favorite spots. Grabbing a table at the end over the water was mandatory. I still go there from time to time. The name has changed, but the view hasn't. I hope you're well and doing great!

It is so awesome seeing this guy ride after all he has been through and to see his friends come out of nowhere and greet him. I was thinking!!! scary thought!!! Would you guys ever hold a fans ride around somewhere in Cali???? Or just do a meet and greet at a location? Thanks for all you guys do.

It's an awesome area for sure!! Glad we could revisit some of the area and share with ya. That was incredible seeing Aaron recognize his buddy on the coast checking out the waves. Small world! We've thought about it and may do something down the line, it would just be a big liability for us, and it's hard enough keeping a small group together on a longer ride, let alone a large group with riders of various skill levels. We'll be thinking of ideas for something fun to do down the line for local riders though 👍 Thanks for the support, Sean!

I would love to see you three guys all test ride Royal Enfield 350 Meteors together - like you did with the Live Wires. Nice around town and back road bike that takes you back to the 1970’s. It would be an easy transition back to two wheels for Lance.

Great video as always, guys! What are your thoughts on earplugs? Do you wear them? I'm a new SG rider, and the noise is right on that line for me to use earplugs. Thanks!
@CJ-Foygelo2 жыл бұрын
Earplugs , definitely.
@2LaneLife2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rex!! And we wear them on and off. When we had built motors and 2-into-1 exhaust that was quite a bit louder, we would wear them for every long ride. Now, we have slip-ons which aren't incredibly loud and don't tend to wear them as often. If you don't mind wearing them, your hearing will thank you!
