Thank you! The whole series covers pretty much everything about towing. The one on tyres is quite interesting. Theres a maths formula in it for tyre pressures which is 100% acc for any trailer, even caravans.

Lots of solid advice with explanations, no doubt from years of experience (good & bad), thank you. Soto also make a dual fuel (Butane & Petrol) that is tiny but very effective.

Your comment that the hitch should never be attached to the axle is good. Ask CanAm why they did this (trailer towbar attached through the back axle). It is also illegal according to ADR's. Have broken the drawbar one trailer already.

Its crazy, you wouldn't tow a trailer connected to the diff of a car, nobody would.

hey i wanted to ask how to i design a hitch like the one on your ducati, i have a sportbike and would like to design a trailer for my dirtbike
@motorcyclecafe27 күн бұрын
@@justobserving4862 just find at least 4 good attachment points, 2 high, 2 low, draw a diagram. Buy some round bar steel and a pipe bender and gradually bend it to shape. You'll need a very good welder. Getting the correct height of the tow ball or connection is the hardest part

Does Jim Gow (Old Guy On A Bike) know you're using his footage of his trailer coming loose?

@@motorcyclecafe Well, once I had a Goldwing overtake me doing about 70Mls. and a short while later he was in the ditch with all his equipment strewn accross the highway, so you have to watch your speed.

Pulling a trailer is a bad idea unless designed specifically for that bike.
@motorcyclecafe Жыл бұрын
how much experience do you have on the subject to make that statement
@ronnybooze8003 Жыл бұрын
What can you do differently to say a trailer is designed for a specific bike? Other than weight limits I can think of NOTHING.
