Thanks for watching- it was definitely the most scared I’ve ever been , when we stopped at the restaurant we were unsure what we had recorded as we were to scared to think about it … but lucky mark had his chest cam on and usually he turns it on & off but obviously he didn’t think about it as we were concentrating on staying alive 😂

Whoow...that was a crappy ride with that huge storm. The shelter was the best option indeed! You were very sweet to Lisa and you kept yourself strong Mark! Kudos! Unforgettable day and night, you could say. I'm going there this year too and hope the weather is lovely in May/June. I myself rode home after Bike Week Faak am See (departure hotel was after the Wurzenpass in Slovenia) last September . In 13 hours non-stop splashing rain in 1 day (3x RDRS went on at 100kmh!!). But I was alone and know what I can handle. Am looking forward to the sequel.....

Jings, what a day. No joke that wind. I remember riding back from the TT in 2012 (weather was so crummy the senior race didn't run), and the rain all the way from the ferry to London was relentless. Proper deluge, but I just wanted home. Sold that bike soon after, convinced myself it was a stupid mode of transportation, it was that bad a ride. Got another one again obviously. Once you've kept going through hell, you know you can again. Onwards an upwards guys.

What an adventure! You were so close to getting out of the mountains where you stopped for the night. I rode from Zaragoza to Pau last year via the col de Portalet, you seem to have stopped near there at the top of a side pass between the two main routes across the pyrenees. The scenery looks great - this is a ride you'll remember!

Yeah you dead right , we was only a couple miles from the first town, 8km from where we was heading . at the point we stopped though , it was insane , the video just don't show the wind , the strength at that point. it was hard to hold the bike in straight line. we won't forget it though , I loved it , Lisa not so much. best wishes mate

Respect 👍🏾I absolutely hate riding in gale force winds. In the 90's I push my bike down the A15 till I got to the Lincoln Imp, where it was built up. I remember the guy from Allo Allo got injured. I think I still carry the trauma, no not René getting injured, the winds 🙄

Hardcore guys, you'll look back on it fondly once the trauma fades! Once went wild camping by Loch Rannoch to wake up with massive storm (Gerrit) which appeared overnight along with a few feet of snow, lucky had the Jeep, but caught me out. Cool video again and storytelling.

Funny thing is that Lizzie and I were supposed to be exactly where you were at the same time (roughly) but decided last minute to adventure around Scotland, where we had mostly sunny weather. We ate some of their health bars , and I had coffee . Luckily we’d had that big lunch and we had desert which we never do lunch time , so we was good . I know how crazy those storms were even here in Barcelona so up in those mountains i knew would be brutal. Worst storm ive ever know here and there were a few throughout the year and LOTS of rain. Had you had the rain before you pulled the bike into the Restaurant i think you'd have been in pretty serious trouble. You certainly did need to lean into that wind! Good to know you're both safe. You still make me piss myself laughing though with all your funny mannerisms 😂

Where I live had rain like I've never seen and there was a storm that came and went over a few days and man, by far the worst I've experienced and not seen rain like that ever. Lisa is right, nature rules and I think these storms are reminders of that. But to come out the other end, relatively unscathed and a few stories to tell, safe in each others arms is what really matters. Stop moaning, that was exciting! The weather in the Pyrenees is always ready for an ambush. I've encountered flash-floods with boulders rolling down the road and hailstones the size of golf balls. If you got yourself a civilised, full-face helmet, instead of that Ogri-special you insist on wearing, the weather would feel a bit kinder. But you did well keeping it upright, Lisa got her steps in and together you made a fantastic film. Cushty, as Del might say.
