Yes, you are right! Here is the description for the yellow one. Its a 1939 J.C. Higgins. Says (and boy, that's some disclaimer!) Original* Mfg. by: Sears Roebuck Color(s): Orange and Yellow *A designation of "Original" means that this piece dates back to its original era of production, but is not indicative of overall condition

The Hiawatha Doodle Bug minibikes at the 11:00 mark look like they could be replicas. The originals were built in the 1940s in Webster Iowa and had Briggs & Stratton motors. Some kids back in the day used them to deliver papers on them. There's a huge annual Doodle Bug convention in Webster Iowa and the town is "littered" with them at that convention. The original ones are worth some coin.

The 69 trident looks to have a "beauty kit" installed. The original 1969 body work did not go over well in the US, so Triumph came up with beauty kits in hopes of selling unsold units. Fairly rare.
@bullpencycles15 күн бұрын
That would be cool to know for sure, especially since it went unsold in 2023
@edkelly575915 күн бұрын
@@bullpencycles I checked the auction website for the trident and there is NO mention of a "beauty kit". More than likely someone pulled the bodywork and seat from a later trident (71-74) and painted it to look like a beauty kitted early trident. Buyer beware.

I dunno. I saw an NOS kit in York and boy, they got the paint exactly. Until you said something, I didnt even know what a beauty kit was.
