All new sporty bikes look like crap with the front and back chopped off and crappy looking instrumentation. No comfortable passenger accommodation. Tiny useless passenger seat way to high creating an unsafe riding condition. Bring back the 1990 Suzuki Katana 750 with fuel injection. Now that's perfection.

I'm about to say what a million other people have said. "What's up with these prices on the new bikes, just like the prices on new trucks and cars but especially trucks". The new bikes really lack any kind of categorized styling. You have bikes that look like they are a bunch of mismatched parts. They don't know if they wanna be a cruiser, or a dirt bike. All of the new bikes just look uncomfortaband.. and to pay 30 grand for something that you really aren't 110% satisfied with is just ridiculous. Plus, try to trade that new bike in a month after you buy it , see how much it's depreciated in just that short amount of time. It's a freaking motorcycle for God's sake, not a home. No bike should be 30 G's or better. Then you have to spend another 5 or 6 G's just to get it sounding and looking the way you want it to. Let alone upgrade any motor parts to add horsepower, especially with Harley Davidson. Just the labor alone to do any work is highly expensive. Close to $100 an hour for labor at my local Harley dealer. I hope they can't sell any dam bikes, that will serve them rite for the price gouging. I think it's high time that these big companies and corporations pay some homage to what keeps them afloat....us, the American consumers. Give all of us some major breaks financially so we will want to buy your products again and also provide the adequate service for the products you do sell. My local Harley Dealer's service department didn't even want to work on a 2004 Dyna Low rider I used to have because they said it was too old. Wow.... go figure that one!!! I thought those sertified Harley techs were trained to work on just about all Harleys. I guess I was sadly mistaken....as usual I can't get no satisfaction!! Lol. My hand to the Lord that's what Crossroads Harley Davidson of Wilkesboro North Carolina like me 2 years ago. Ain't been there since and don't won't to go back in there. $500 bucks for a leather jacket....come on man. $25 for a T shirt. This is 2 years ago. I did buy a pair of riding sunglasses....$140 back at that time....just outrageous prices. Enough said you all catch my drift. I'm out.

Good! That's great news. There needs to be a market correction, prices have gotten out of control, and those corporations who can't meet new consumer price demands will go away. Same with those crazy truck prices. It's about time a ceiling was reached on what price gouging the average buyer will tolerate.

What a surprise, people who see motorcycling as a hobby can't afford $25,000 for a motorcycle at the same time that it's nearly impossible to find a new car under $30,000 and rent and insurance prices are rising at around 10% per year. Normally executives would look at a market like this and try to satisfy demand with classic lightweight sportbikes that start under $10,000 to appeal to people who still want to ride but don't have a ton of free cash but apparently nowadays that kind of thinking is considered "socialism".

In one case it's as simple as the color of the bike. Honda's new ST125 DAX is a great retro style minimoto. In the USA the DAX come with blue or gray paint. The blue ones are sold immediately and the dull gray ones sit on the floor.

The Vulcan S should have been a 750. I think it's strongest suit is that you can adjust it to fit each rider. I wish more motorcycles would do that. But I agree, the styling may be it's weakest point. I have a first generation Vulcan VN 750 and it's truly a great bike which had a 20-some year run. It's comfortable, it's torquey, and it handles like a standard.

I have had my Sportster serviced at the dealer I purchased it from for over 11 years. The scheduled service interval is 8,000 kilometres. I have always had an ''in between'' oil change only at 4,000 km because I reckon 8,000 is too long for oil - particularly for Australian summers. Recently I tried to set this up again only to be told that they won't do this ''express lube'' during summer and I'd have to have a 530 dollar set price service or nothing. I was tempted to tell them to get fucked, but they have the stronger bargaining point. Yet they never failed to send marketing material and acted condescendingly smug at times that I haven't bought a significantly more expensive bike with larger service needs.

Triumph's dead beat reliability issues have made this company a laughing stock. I wouldn't buy anything made in England that has an engine. PERIOD. The Katana was brought back as a throwback to yesteryear's nostalgia and no other improvements basically. Oh yeeaaaaaa, we now get a LCD one up display for BOTH meters ?? No thanks. AH the legendary reliable Gold Wing. Honda has shot themselves in the foot with the new DCT Gold Wings. Took 6 years to get them to admit a problem with the transmissions shredding themselves that Honda blamed on the consumer as Abuse. Well Honda, the abuse is YOU FUKKED THE POOCH. If you had initially investigated the issue perhaps the back lash would not be so great but as it is, No more Gold Wings for me thanks. The Concours serves me quite well. Like the car manufacturers, the HIGH PRICES are ANATHEMA to a rider's use. Motorcycles aren't worth the price the manufacturers are asking. I have two; the newest is an '05 HD Sportster and the Yamaha 1100 is a '78. They're both superior to what the manufacturers are putting on the road at exorbitant prices! HD is trying to force me (et al other riders) to buy newer models by refusing to service the "obsolete" (their phrasing) models. NOPE! Not at these prices.

KTM and Husqvarna aren’t doing so well either! Also, what’s not mentioned is the designs of some bikes that look like insects (wasps, mantis, cockroach etc) that are turning buyers off. I’ve heard countless complaints about the aforementioned manufacturers including Yamaha, motorcycle models looking like high priced bugs on two wheels! And then you have HD and Indian with their cyclops and “bug eyed” shark looking models! These complaints have been circulating on various forums and websites for quite some time now. Are the designers running out of ideas and/or creativity?!? Are their imaginations limited to what’s seen on the Discovery Channel?!? In my opinion, some of these bikes look hideous at best!!! Those factors will definitely drive sales down for sure because the overall appearance and aesthetics along with performance, quality and reliability are driving factors for today’s younger generation of consumers. However, I hope to have checkbook ready when the huge markdowns occur! 🪰🪳🦈🏍️💸 😎✌️

What we are seeing is a shift in what buyers are looking for when they buy a bike .. Most are looking for a bike that is comfortable to ride for long distance - doesn't weigh a tonne - is reliable - cheap to maintain - can carry a pillion - can carry luggage - has great handling - has engine power & smooth adjustable suspension that can handle all terrains altered electronically at the flick of a switch with loads of options like heated grips/seats & seat styles/heights... Yes I'm talking about the large number of adventure motorcycle available like the BMW 900 GSA - TRIUMPH TIGER - KTM 890 - OR there large cc engine brothers.... These bike are what people are looking for because they can do it at & depending on your budget the top of the line makes are more comfortable to ride than any of the bikes mentioned in this video ...any Harley Davidson owner that being honest will admit they look comfortable but riding long distance is a painful experience. ... Its all about what getting the right bike nowadays... It's not about it's famous name or it unusable power because it doesn't handle well enough for the engine power... Adventure motorcycle bikes do it all & you can purchase a adventure bike at reasonable prices...
