Lavi is growing her skills so quickly! Bravo! It's really fun to watch. A tip if I may for both of you? Try standing more in rough sections and absorb the bumps with your knees. It's much less tiring, and it's easier to control the bike. I think you'll find steep and rocky terrain more fun. Best wishes for a continued safe and happy adventure~

My Welsh relatives took my parents for drive up a mountain near Dolgellau. Coming from the Canadian Rockies we're used to translating heights, but dad was not impressed with my cousins driving. Coming down a hill with the brakes applied all the way and hands glued to the steering wheel. I think there was a movie with the English actor about a mountain in Wales "The Englishman Who Went up a Hill but Came down a Mountain".

Hello. Great to see Rob again. Even he got stuck. Ollie &/Lavi. That rock section lane was a bit crazy and that last bit was a bit steep. Lavi. It’s great to see you ride through all the trenches and over grown stuff. Mind you Lavi. Your ability to keep riding through shows you confidence and ability. And now finding it fun ( at least ok. ). Wish You Well.

Here’s my opinion. It’s all about having fun and being an adventure. If I’m not having fun, I find an alternate way to go. Sometimes tackling the challenge ends up being loads of fun when remembering it later. And don’t be afraid to get creative like Ollie did with the rock buildup at the angled log. You can use things like that at the ledges sometimes too. And watch out for those angled logs. They can be severely underestimated no matter what suspension you have. Also, some bikes, like Roger’s, has 12 inches or more of suspension travel. Other bikes have less. This matters a lot when traversing rough areas. A whole lot. So don’t overdo it and end up dropping your bike. That just takes the fun out of it. Just find another route. Stop and enjoy the countryside. Adventure, fun, smiles, seeing the countryside around you. To me, that’s what it’s all about. ……………P.S. Lavie is figuring out how to use clutch friction more. Awesome job!

Lavi u made the right call, slippery wet rocks, u wont get up there unless u have a competition enduro bike, super soft studded tyres and plenty experience. With the van vans and those tyres, zero chance and also remember that if u were to find that situation further ahead in a downhill format...that would be a ticket to the hospital cos falling on that surface is a no-no. Well done for walking it (if ur boots slip while walking then u know) and scouting along to understand. That is exactly how u learn with intelligence. Ps: Rob has the bike u guys should look for 😉 and buy some goggles to wear when riding amongst bushes since u wanna keep ur eyes for other trips too

To turn around in a tight spot, just put the motorcycle on the side stand, tilt it slightly toward you on the left side so it's balancing on the side stand, and pull on the luggage rack or handlebar, depending on the side you want to turn. The bike will turn around the side stand, staying on the same spot. Also, Lavie, you are doing extremely well, considering your limited experience on two wheels.

I want to share a trick with you for turning the bike back around when you can’t go any further up a hill on a trail. Leave the bike in first gear, turn the motor off, and you can drag the front wheel around and the transmission acts as a rear brake. I figured that out when I had a mechanical breakdown on a trail very familiar to what you faced in this episode. I had to ride the bike in neutral back down the hill after I got it turned around. I hope this can be another trick to add to your bag of tricks for your overlanding adventures.

There very good on the road mine is a 5 speed I ride on and off road. Including mountai s. Very good power and torque when needed. To get you where you need to go. You can see my KZbin vids. There kinda lame. And it's pretty 😍 I don't post all my vids. Coz I do crazy stuff 😜 but you to are still learning. That's good. I really believe dirt bikes will work so much better for your trips and travels. With lot less hassle. And still have luggage with you. You can change the rear suspension for the extra weight. And the 250 will have you to use your true potential while riding. Stay safe out there.

I know this won’t be of much use because it’s likely that you have already finished the TET but… It might have been an idea to set up camp for a few days somewhere you can access several trails from reasonably easily and then ridden for a few days without carrying all of your camping gear. Gaining experience on bikes that are not loaded up would be invaluable and give you a lot more confidence in the future. Starting with heavily laden motorcycles and no experience was simply making the task harder than it needs to be.

had a little break (a cup of tea) after a few hundred meters? Those big, wet, slippery and loose wedge-shaped rocks look they are actually trying to bring you down... Not what I would be wanting to test the effectiveness of the armour with. That takes some serious kahunas to try riding over them. (and a "souped up" Tenere 700... scratch that, go back to the Plains and grab a Military jeep) must be time for another cup of Tea! I was nervous about riding the Motorbike over driveways & entrances at an angle to start with. I learnt very young to ride my BMX over things like that square on. It only takes a couple of grazed knees & elbows to have that fear for the rest of your life. and when the bike literally weighs twice as much as I do, I really don't want to have it lying on my leg (I was getting quite anxious for both of you during that wet log Battle!) I don't know if I'll be able to do that, I don't like that... Yeah, I did it! No surprises, despite the limitations of the Bike, You're doing well, when you think you can't do it, make sure you add the word "easily", because you CAN do it, even if it is a struggle!
