No, Only Lowrance and Simrad are the only brands NMEA 2000 that the Tour Pro will work with. I have Garmin myself and found that out.

@@toddl6795 appreciate the reply. Did you make it through the recall situation ok? Something about the heading or gps lock. I just spent the money and got a force. Kicking myself for not doing so last year before this ridiculous price increase for 2022.

@@uploadtime1780 I've been waiting for the main board to come in to my Motorguide dealer, it's been on back order now for awhile. So hopefully this will take care of the issue!

@@The_Garmin_Guru I just sold my Garmin Force to go back to a Motorguide Tour Pro. From my experience the Motorguide is significantly less noisy in anchor mode and does everything you need for a lot less money as long as you have the cable routed properly and the head unit at the right angle so there aren't any hard turns in the cable.
@joshuagreene99762 жыл бұрын
@Chuck Embury They are really finicky about how the cable from the foot pedal to the head unit are ran. Any hard turns, kinks, or pressure points in the cable mess it up.

@Chuck Embury Nice thanks for the info.

How good does the remote work for trolling? Are you able to dial it in to speeds like .8mph or 1.2mph or is just the 5 speed settings? Thanks!
@The_Garmin_Guru2 жыл бұрын
You can set it at any speed and it will maintain that speed. It’s called cruise control and works real good actually

I have one and I hate it. Stupid thing goes crazy when I hit anchor. We can be sitting in dead still water no wind and hit anchor and it will go all to hell left right high low run into the bank all kinds of stupid stuff. Calibration done several times with no luck. Took to for warranty work and they said we don’t know how to fix it or even what’s wrong. 2,400 pos

Well there looks to be a federally mandated recall for your very complaint. It has to do with bad software in the motherboard. So there will be a fix. Bad thing is Motorguide hasn’t even started making the new updated chips and don’t have any idea when they will be available.

I can understand that. The 45 inch is perfect for me but a longer option would be a great addition. It’s the best trolling motor I’ve ever ran hands down.
