This is my truck. The body repair work turned out amazing and was a better outcome than having to replace the bedside panel. The truck only had 10k miles when I got hit so I didn't want to have to do all that cutting on it if it could be popped out like they did. You genuinely can't even tell any body work was done. Great work! My only complaint is the spare tire access cover was broken in the process of the bumper being removed/reinstalled.

It’s interesting that they didn’t want to pay for a box side. I guess you have to do the math as to which is cheaper, a box side or all the work you did straightening it out. You did a beautiful job. Sorry to hear Don left. I honestly thought he was the owner, unless he was and that he sold it. Stellar shop anyway you look at it. That’s all the good stuff, now, I don’t mean to be your dad, but you just got married, and you’re pulling a dent with these little welded on wires and pulling it with fingers that are pretty thin looking. My point, no protection. All it takes is one of those to let go and hit you in the eye and you’re gonna be seeing your beautiful wife with one eye. You deserve better, and so does she. Start wearing eye protection! Consider it an consider it an order if you want. And another thing we’ve all been after you about is wear a mask when you sand. If you want to know what that can do, just look up pulmonary fibrosis on a Google search. It’s a horrible way to die. I had a neighbor that passed away from it and it was not pretty. We all love and appreciate you, your tender heart and your God given talent, but you’ve got to protect yourself. I don’t believe you would allow your wife to stand there with no eye protection or a mask if you were working. I don’t think you would let your child sit there in a stroller and watch you work with no protection of any kind. I wouldn’t let them in there until they were able to kind of fend for themselves, with your guidance, of course. Anyway, please do not be offended. We only want the best for you and we want you to succeed. If you want to know how a freak accident can happen damage and the devastating effects it can have, look up Doug on his channel One Eyed Customs. You may have to do a search in his videos, but he explains how he lost an eye while driving a bobcat. It’s pretty sobering. Take care, buddy. Love you, we’ll see you in the next one.❤😊

You are impeccable as a body repairman. I caution you regarding that truck and others, and maybe i missed it or your had a plug in there but i didn't see a cloth or other protection for the diesel tank as you continued to sand down the bondo and paint. These trucks hate particles and unfortunately don't cough them up like cat hairballs. The system pressurizes it and sends it down the damn injectors. Like i said i couldn't see if a plug was in at the bottom, but in the future you should make sure your crew knows you had that hole covered tighter than a frog's arse. Nice job!

Why? It’s better than ripping panels off the entire side of the truck. The thing is brand new. So you’d rather have all kinds of new panels welded on? Also, more paint work comes with that. I think this came out pristine. Just needs some buffing and polishing.
@dave48033 ай бұрын
@@Private011 The whole reason for having insurance is they pay for the damage. If they refuse to pay out then you are giving them money every month for nothing. An insurance company that fiddles you out of a pay out needs to lose their customers and be shamed online. Absolutely disgusting that we pay waaay too much for vehicles and the insurance for them and when something happens the insurance companies will NEVER do right by their customers! If I’m not mistaken even if the body shop does a great job with the body work filler ect the vehicle is still devalued because of the wreck. But if they replace the bedside then it wouldn’t.

The sad part about body work is that its nearly impossible to seal up the surfaces ( think about what is now not on the back side of that area of the box due to the spot welds ) to prevent rust from attacking the metal. In a dry climate with no winter or salt/calcium chloride being spread on the roads it will probably last for a long time but with said winter roads it always rears its ugly head in a few years time. Not knocking the job that was done here, just that its hard to create a fresh out of the factory job.
