Thanks Helen/Martin. Your trip to Santiago helped me plan out our recent trip there and back and I was much appreciative of that. We went a similar route to yours although we came down through France from Ireland Also, I ended up video documenting that Ireland to Santiago trip and am now 5 videos into it on my new channel (this account) with more to come. Guys , i have only recently come across your channel, I love your down to earth approach to motorhoming. I am spending a lot of evenings watching your back catalogue.. ( When Man U is not playing ) If you guys ever plan on touring Ireland you are more than welcome to spend a night at our place plenty of space to park , We are only 25 min from Dublin port and on the main road to the west of Ireland.. safe travels. Got agree with you on Camping Jungfrau our joint favourite with Camping Brunnen at the foot of Neuschwanstein, and it’s always the train for us (we use Tesco points, haven’t paid cash to cross the channel for 10 years) keep up the inspirational work.

Our favourite hangout was Panama Jacks but there was a suggestion that they were being forced to move from the quayside so might need some research as to whether it’s relocated yet. Maps - I have done navigating on road rallys in the UK - midnight to 07.00 hrs in the morning of course, on the public highways, But I dont turn them round. Love maps!!

Maps are good Stuart, orientation of the map towards direction of travel is an aviation thing , we were trained that way so it stuck . A spacial awareness issue . Not essential for motorhome navigation though of course 😂, it’s just a piece of banter between us. . Thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin

Yeah Real maps for me too. I have a detailed Phillips for Scotland and renew it every few years. For walking etc. cannot beat OS of course. Above Belgium? Debatable. Catching up we have been away.

Ha ha yes , it was very close and we didn't agree , but she who must be obeyed got the casting vote. We like the real maps to and definitely OS maps for walking. We find the OS App brilliant for planning but would never walk with an electronic map. Thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin

Did you ever travel with Poppy on public transport in Europe and if so what sort of carrier is required? Thanks again for your informative videos.

Hi this very much depends Country by Country . Spain does require a carrier on the trams and does not allow dogs on some services at all . Northern Europe just required a muzzle for Poppy in most places we went . If you have a small dog the rules can be different to a large dog. It needs researching country by country and some times City by city . If you can be more specific we might be able to help further and we’re happy to help if we can. @@MrDs131 Ah ok , understood the National Rail Service in Spain has just changed it’s position to allow dogs here is the latest info www.renfe.com/es/en/travel/informacion-util/pets. We use a soft muzzle we got from Pets at Home for Poppy , you can also get a mesh carrier but we’ve never used one to the fair . If you want to use the tram from Alicante , Benidorm and then the train north along the Costa Blanca you will need a pet carrier. Regional railways will need specific research . H and M
