I find the definition of IDE here : tinyurl.com/3vkbyzk4 , so I think the comment is about choice of programming environment (I may be wrong). This channel is about educational MakeCode and hardware which displays the output of the software (coding) in education for kids. Glad you like the circuit. More to come !

The block coding you are using is an IDE/compiler. There is nothing wrong with it. Many different types of IDEs, like virtual studio and Arduino, depend on what coding language you are using.
