You should put some front disc brakes on it or at least pad brakes

When I replaced my stock engine kit chain, I got more than twice the amount needed of #415 chain (or also labeled size 41), it was only $10 at the local home/garden/farm/outdoors/hardware supplies store, so I replace the engine chain AND the pedal chain with high tension #415 ^_^ Also, it evens out the proportions issue you mention.

Thanks for the video. FYI it's Jibe and not Jive :P Your chains are not dancing with each other, they are syncing, or jibing.

why dont you add a brake to the front
@rimshotrecluse93458 жыл бұрын
+kjsmolik I actually might do that in the future. I'd really like to change out the headest for a threadless and run some suspension forks with a front V brake.
@metamorphicorder5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Add real brakes. You really shouldnt be motoring without reliable brakes. Like you said, if the chain comes off you cant stop. You need a front brake and preferably a rear wheel with a freewheel rather than a coaster and rim brakes as well. The idea that people but motors on these cheap walmart cruisers without proper equipment bothers me. Save up just a bit more money and buy something better suited.

Your'e making this too hard for yourself.....simply remove one link from your "pedal crank side", adjust your wheel forward and your'e done for both sides.

That doesn’t make any sense. It will offset the other chain in the process.

Great job you wasted like 30$ when you could just cut some of the like off

Buy a new chain for the right side, or buy a chain breaker and size the right side chain correctly. If not possible, or if it’s the original bike chain, it’s probably worn out and stretched
@NDC00658 жыл бұрын
Your chain is probably worn and needs to be replaced.
