Motorized Bike gets More Upgrades!

I put on a "scoop" style of intake on the bike to capture more air for higher RPM, it also came with a new carburetor so installed it. An arch chain tensioner is also installed because the old one has pretty much crapped the bag. Also I do, some fine-tuning with the new carb.

I got a Amazon 2 piece expansion chamber for my 80cc and it completely opened it up gave it incredible torque and top speed I highly recommend it, was like $30

On that Predator, if its anything like a Honda GX (pretty sure it is) check the idle air jet. Find that big, black, plastic Phillips head screw on the carb that adjusts the idel. Back that big black screw all the way out and off the carb. Once that's outta the way, you should see another black plastic part, pry that piece straight up out of the carb. That's the air idle jet. Blow it out with compressed air or something, has a real tiny hole thru it that is like, way exposed all the time. They plug up, and well you know how it goes with carbs. Might be your problem.

Thanks for the suggestion dude! The thing is that I went threw the whole carb including that jet and sit blows black smoke at idle which means it is running way to rich at idle which is kind of strange. Valve clearance is fine as well and I think it is a ignition problem maybe flywheel magnet is weak is all I can think of cuz I pretty much eliminated every other problem. I got a spare one so I'll chuck it on and see what happens lol.

Some of those carbs also have a welch plug, or a weird looking head on the mixture adjustment screw that you gotta break off to adjust.

I have never tried an arch chain tensioner but I will be for a customers bike he simply doesnt take the time to use the proper tools to adjust his stock tensioner although i have showed him several times, he just takes a big hammer and whacks it backwards in an attempt to tighten the chain, he doesnt even touch the bolts then he wonders why it keeps coming loose and going into the spokes destroying multiple rims, oh well i guess some just dont learn.

Yeah I feel you too, I was on a chinese side by side with a girl one time and she was driving. It had no governor on the engine so I dont hold it a full throttle because it floats the valves, well she was doing that and I told her not too and she thought I just saying BS. I said to her "who is the one who has a KZbin channel about atvs, gokarts, jetskis, lawnmowers, side by sides, motorized bikes and engines? ME, I have rebuilt engines and been doing this stuff my whole life so I know what im talking about." She then listened and let off the gas a bit but stayed quiet after that lmao 😂
