I just bought and received this, January 20 2021. Not only was it easy to put together, the motor makes ZERO noise. Can't hear it at all. Even with the camera mounted. Maybe there's been an upgrade since this review, but if you're worried about a loud motor, this slider has the absolute quietest motor, I've heard. Mine is nothing like in this review or any other I've heard. No, I'm not getting paid to say that. I find this to be an incredible motorized slider & I have you to thank for your review, to get me to pull the trigger on it. Thank you!

I'am really curious about the wobble at 5:10 . Do you know what actually makes it wobble ? I'am suspecting the groove wheel does not "hugging" the parallax rail perfectly. I'am noticing my 3d printer also using almost similar rail, except it uses 2020 v-slot rail & v-wheel. My point is you can actually tighten/adjust the wheel gap between the wheel & rail using an "essentric nut" if you understand how it works. Great review by the way

Can you buy the motor separately to use with a ifootage shark slider?

Does it do shoot-move-shoot for long exposures or is it constantly in motion? Which would cause blur in your long exposure.

I was about to pull the trigger on the GVM. If the wobble issue is indeed fixed on this one, it honestly is hard to beat. Any issues (such as the parallax wobble) with the GVM units?

I have it for nature videography and I think that the motor is noisy for an interview if the mic is near the camera, I would use a tele lens and distance the mic from the slider.

Hm. The motor noise sounds unacceptable in your example but then for the rest of the video, as you talk it’s moving and I don’t hear it at all. What was the mic setup for the motor noise example vs all the other shots?

I see that when the camera stops or reaches the end of the path, it has vibration, I do not see that the panning is stable, can it be?

@Tomas Logue I got the 80cm. I don’t like having to have light stands on each end though. I wish it could just fit on a tripod but it tilt once the camera get to the end.

Nice info, but the GVM is a much better product for a little extra more. The GVM is quieter, easier to set up, and operate. Plus, the controller is more intuitive. Just my humble opinion.

I’m using mine with one of those 3/8” to 1/4” adapters

The listing on Amazon.co.uk shows an included 1/4-20 to 3/8ths adapter, so it may be that was simply missing from the review kit. But adapters are very cheap.
