Going strong here in New Zealand. I love driving them! 7.1litres per 100kms, solid with a 5* safety rating, great height off the ground and so comfortable!

We have had our H2 Haval Lux for a year now and we love it! Fantastic value for money. The list of features is amazing. We find it very comfortable on a long trip. Great looking SUV, and huge bang for your buck!

I bought a H2 Lux as my wife’s KIA Rio was now 17 years old. I thought why buy second hand, when I can buy new....We love the car! Unbelievable value for money . The list of features is as long as your arm. Very comfortable on a long trip. I think it looks very stylish and the big 18 inch rims fill the wheel arches nicely. Wife loves the heated seats. I enjoy the auto wipers and lights and the auto park brake, . You really get bang for your buck here. The engine has great power and the gearbox is very smooth. There is a bit of typical turbo lag, but I just get on the throttle a bit earlier to compensate. You hear the turbo in the cabin at times but I kind of like that! Amazing quality of finish in the cabin. We have had it a year now and I wish it was my car!

Hows the fuel consumption though, I see it also has a very lower range than its competitors

I find the consumption quite acceptable, not quite what you may expect from a 1500, but it puts out good power. And, other car manufacturers have, I think, been very optimistic with their fuel figures! Remember the VW scandal!

Great review Alan, looks like Haval has created an exceptional value mid-size family SUV and I can only see this brand going from strength-to-strength if this is what they are offering already.

Driving a haval h5 after my GWM Steed 5, raised the question on why we should pay so much for other eastern brands. Check out the Russian tests on where they drive with the Steed 5 and Haval h5. My experiece on reliability with my 2014 model were outstanding. The H2 will definitely be my next option, due to my experience with GWM and Haval.

Well it’s interesting, proof has been in the pudding. The H2 has proved very popular in SA and has had very impressive sale numbers, over the last three years. We are very happy with ours!

Yep Alan, you have been proved right! The new models look good with the re worked front and rear. The only dark cloud on the horizon is the political belligerent behaviour of China recently, particularly here in Australia. Bit of a worry!

HI Alan in your opinion which is better the Haval H2 Lux version vs the JMC Landwind 5 Flagship model

Taking into account that I only have vehicles for a short test period, I can never comment on long-term. The Landwind is a much larger vehicle than the H2. As a very personal opinion, I felt that the Haval offered slightly better quality fit and finish, especially on the interior.

There is 1 dealer in SA that's offering a 7 year warranty as a special deal at present. According to Haval SA, it appears that it only has Apple Car play (iPhone) compatibility and not Android Auto

I am glad you think 8.2 liter per 100 km is good fuel consumption for a 15 liter SUV..lol Wow, doors that unlock at the ""press of a button". Now that is break thru technology. Any second hand BMW X1,X3,X4, X5, X6 or Audi Q3, Q5 or Volvo XC60 is still better value for money at 310K. At least then you have real luxury as there is nothing luxurious about the Haval.

I know some one who was stupid enough to buy a Haval...worst cars in the world.. they are not happy and can't get 1/2 the money they paid only 3 months later...no one wants them.

We’ve had our H2 for over a year now, everything works perfectly.....it still looks brand new....it’s fantastic on a long trip....we love it. We found it exceptional value for money. What are you basing your argument on?
